Overlord Posted June 10, 2010 Share Has everybody got this World Cup money making idea? Pricing for the event seems a bit steep. No sorry they are to steep. Maybe contact the PPA and get an idea on pricing for the different distances.
rpedro Posted June 13, 2010 Share R140 + R50 late entry + Transport cost from Cape Town ++++++WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this sh*te legal?
Mechanick Posted June 14, 2010 Share sh*t! With an entry fee like this, the medal would have to be made of gold! Freakin rip-offs!
ChrisH Posted June 14, 2010 Share Look on their website and you will see the Stillwater sports link. Thats why it is so expensive. Same guys who organise X-Terra and Totalsports challengeChrisH2010-06-14 01:01:

flymango Posted August 15, 2011 Share Anybody doing the race this coming Sunday? Apart from any complaints about entrance fees (see above posts from last year), how was the actual race itself last year? Thinking of doing the 35km if I've got some legs left after the Swartland MTB the day before and no doubt a couple of beers during the rugby. BergForce Posted August 15, 2011 Share I think I`d rather do the same 35km route on the Sunday after for a wopping R20. The longer routes will be fun I think but I`m still recovering from cracked ribs. Edited August 15, 2011 by Berg Bok
TYGA Posted August 16, 2011 Share Saw this one their site re the 10K route...I'm sure there's a couple of SSers here that would disagree! "10km: Advice to riders: Although there are no major climbs, this route is not suited for single speed bicycles." I see there's a bit of rain forecast for Sunday...should make it fun. I was keen to ride but after TB last weekend will probably just hit Jonkies for 20 bucks instead.
lerouc Posted August 16, 2011 Share I am thinking of going to check this out. im an "oud grabouwer" and this will be my girlfriends first ride so we were planning on checking out the 10km.
TYGA Posted August 18, 2011 Share You'd better pack her a brollie and some wellies cause it's going to be p1ssing. Edited August 18, 2011 by XTC1
Cassie Posted August 18, 2011 Share I actually DID ride last year! After all my complaints & all!! I'm compulsive that way The route was great...The prize giving was even better - they had loads of brandy hampers (in those little casks with engravel label of the race...) and lucky draws as well...guess that's what you pay for!!? Not a bad event to do. Edited August 18, 2011 by Cassie
