Bos Posted August 10, 2010 Share okok.. I got to put one Mtb on here... Ok So I found this, Its not a Mtb, but the focus here is a very clever remote lockout. I really like the thingking here. Shows we often so busy tying to do something the way everyone else aproached it, but this is out the box if youve ever seen out the box.
Flowta Posted August 10, 2010 Share I dig these cranks..I want to do the dual blade thing badly, but I somehow think It goes with light bikes.. which mine isnt really.. So Ive been looking for pics with dualblade cranks that really look like they are supposed to be, well dual blade. herse some nice looking cranks and dualbladers. How are these? I think they look good on my bike (not a lightweight)
Minion Posted August 11, 2010 Share But then I saw this here, which I also rather dig. If this had gears.. A amazing fusion between the two, and its pure art. You see the diference between art and something like the spez at the top, Is that art and massproduction can not be mentioned in the same sentence.. though the Independant fab bike was every bit as mass produced as the spez. Or are they hand made?I reckon every carbon bike is hand made. I suspect it would be very costly and inefficient to make a machine capable of doing carbon lay-ups and tube joining on a bike frame. On the other hand, you can get an Independent frame custome made to your exact measurements - definitely not mass-produced!

Weird but steel for instance just have a more "familiar" feeling to it.. weird, but its like its closer related to the Human body or something.haha you know what I meen. Minion Posted August 11, 2010 Share Stuff Pinarello. If I had R50k to spend on a frame, this is what I'd get: http://www.ifbikes.com/assets/images/products//Svelte_XS_Build_13.jpg http://www.ifbikes.com/assets/images/products//Svelte_XS_Build_12.jpg

stewie911 Posted August 11, 2010 Share You might enjoy this under technology. Each crankarm works with an independent clutch, so you can't pull with your dominant leg to help with the downstroke of the other leg. This is purely for training as it improves your pedal stroke. MintSauce Posted August 11, 2010 Share .. though the Independant fab bike was every bit as mass produced as the spez. Or are they hand made? Independent Fabrication ONLY does handmade custom frames. AFAIK they don't even have standard sizes available. You have to provide your measurements and they work from there....the next factor is what you want to do with the bike...road, track, crit, CX....then, what sort of rider are you? Are you a big, muscular gorilla who mashes the pedals or a lightweight who likes to sit and spin. Every single part of the frame is considered....angles, tube lengths, tube diameters....they'll even use the same diameter tube from a different manufacturer if, in certain instances, they believe that manufacturer's tube offers different ride characteristics. An IF has been on my wishlist for years!

You ever do one leg training on the IT or out on the road? This thing will kill you!
stewie911 Posted August 11, 2010 Share Was thinking that this would be much easier should you want to do one legged training. Guys who did the review said that they could only do about 15min the first time, but it's good to eliminate weekness in your stroke and should provide for monster hamstrings
tristansandwith Posted August 11, 2010 Share With technology comes this: I was in the London Science Museum last July and got to see it in person! Sooooo freaking awesome! www.factor001.com for the full read-up!
tristansandwith Posted August 11, 2010 Share I love this quote especially, "We would take cutting edge technology from motorsport, from aerospace and from the world’s top materials research laboratories and apply them to one of humankind’s most elegant and enduring inventions: the bicycle." ...so freaking awesome!
