The curse of the sponsored kit/club riders strikes again. To the guys in charge of the Toyota CycleLab Supercycling - you might want to give your members a refresher, or in fact first time course on the rules of cycling. rolleyes.gif

Saw a mountain biker riding on the M3 this morning, Muizenberg direction. It really doesn't do these clubs/teams/sponsors much good when your members are breaking the rules of the road. Again, I would hope that these "big" clubs would be setting the example for others, yet they are more often than not the ones riding in bunches on the roads etc etc.

Peace out. smile.gif

Unfortunately a "big" club is only as good as it's most stupidest member.....if this person (can't call him/her a cyclist) want to cycle on a highway, then all other cyclists are drawn into this person's actions.....tjchopp!!

Numerous newsletters and comms have been ditributed to members.

It is difficult for the club to check each members...

Maybe near the future, the club members must have number logo at the back of the top, so that one can report it to club and the club can sort that person out...

Assumption can be the mother of..... The reality is that most clothing team and club gear can be bought or just old kit that someone rides in.

Doesn't detract from the stupidity that some folk display on the road though. No matter what they are wearing or riding/driving.

why flame the club for one idiot who is on a suicide mission?

bit unfair I would say.

problem is no amount of communication will ever change that dudes attitude.

they just get pissed off when talked to and leave for another club and continue doing stupid things.......

Its like me saying he did it cause he lives in CT..

Guess an apology to Cycle lab members would be in order

I'm not "flaming" the club and I am certainly not apologising. It's highlighting the fact that a big club, with a big brand presence behind them have the ability to influence people, hopefully in a positive way.

I getcha point, Mikkelz.

Clubs can regulate membership with greater effectiveness as their brand is out there for all to see.

Tough challenge though - new systems, record keeping, etc.

whatever

so frickin tired of all the negativity re just about everything on here

doesnt matter how big or small a club is, just takes one idiot to do something really stupid and its the club.... dont think that's 100% fair, but be that as it may.

you did as far as I am concerned, thats why you put it in your topic heading.... but lets not get into an argument about it, you have your opinion, I have mine.

Then I will say its because the prick is from CT that he is brave enough to ride on the highway - fair?
