So killing some time I clicked on the CWC ad to check his latest deal and he has the Camelback Flow Meter for under R269

CRC has it R225 ex VAT, import duties and the schleep of getting it into SA

When will Chris stop embarrassing the local SA LBS industry ... in all honesty, I hope he never stops. So good on you Chris

Has anyone used a flow meter? I would like to know what their experience is.

Been using one for a couple of months ... works great!

I suck when it comes to hydration, always drink too little & end up with hangover headaches. Now I stay on the PHG (personal hydration goal) :)

Only thing - dont mix your powder race drink just before using the flow meter ... the grains WILL block the flow meter & you will suck your brains out with no luck ...

Mine is also fairly accurate

Flow meters, power meters, heart rate monitors ...

It's becoming too much.! :o

With all these meters to monitor, I may forget to pedal.!

looked at my bikes the other day and worked out how much I have from CWC and its is quite scary how much money they have saved me...also very convenient and not to mention ultra friendly and helpful.

PS. we have been bombarded with ads about supplements, drink water during the race and use rehydrate afterward.

Camelback Flowmeter - WTF! Saw a dude at the Engen Dynamic 99 km start sporting his Camelback fitted with a flowmeter, so I asked him, whats up with the meter bro? To cut a long story short, he was actually doing the 46 km, and explained to me that it is important for him to measure his hydration, hence the meter! What happened to riding our bikes? I think I have seen it all!

Thanks for this feedback as you have answered the questions I have about it. I drink too much and this is why I need the flow meter.

Agree 100% here!

I have found its worth the cost to use bottled water (you can also pick it up from SPAR with your own container for R1-R2 L

CWC online rocks.

I bought some Momsen Design bar ends from them. I placed the order @ 14:00 and when I got into the office at 08:00 the next morning the package was waiting for me already, in JHB!!!

I was down in Ape Town for the school holidays from PMB. I popped in at CWC and all the staff greated me including Chris Willemse snr.I was impressed as they they never seen me before. The owner obviously sets the standard and all the youngsters have to meet it. I wish all the bike shops had the same attitude. Keep it up CWC

Shocker. This guy should take up knitting. I have mates that train during Ramadan with no water and nothing to eat - riding hard for 3 hours with no bottles in the cages.

HTFU!

But for some of use, we need our hydration. For me its a health issue and doing otherwise is risking my health.
