Velouria' date=' I'm not complaining, got dropped during every flat race last year, so don't mind if the pace is a bit more pedestrian one bit!! It's just hard enough to still make it challenging for me.

 

But yesss, the SV's bunch was small, counted just over 31 riders finishing, if Orca and Stringbean finished we would have ween 33 SV, not a lot of ppl to be working in the group.

 

The Elite bunch on the other hand had quite a few more rides, I count 46 and lets say 2 also did not finish, so it's about 48, that's a fair amount more pulling power, so it's fairly safe to say that we nto going to finish as close to them as we did last season.

 

Oo, about the break away, I thought it weird that BikeMax or Aurora did nto try and close down the break since they had the biggest number of riders in our bunch, still, I'm not complaining, anyhting harder and I would have dropped off. Love the New Bike Kits!!!

After break got away the SV bunch reduced to a speed where i was falling asleep on my bike,then chain snapped on the bottom of Malans but i was glad because there was not much racing happening in the SV bunch.I feel like selling my bike to buy a playstation

AuctionLamb, I wasn't being mean. I was also in that situation last year this time, frustrated at the lack of racing, frustrated at how many people are content to sit at 20km/h in a league race instead of possibly making the racing. Tried a few attacks, and found there are always one or two dumb enough to go along, and eventually the old "there goes fatty again" moves became legendary (also being caught right before the finish line became just as legendary)

 

I paid the fees to race, and race hard. Not to sit in a bunch and watch others work on the front. If thats what I wanted I would have stayed in the normal bunches. Unfortunately mother nature decided to spare Marius the agony of repeated fatty attacks this year and infected my lungs with pnuemonia, but I'll be back sooner or later

Maybe after this weekend's riding people will be keener to race - once we had figured out that there doesn't appear to be one dominant team, or one dominant rider -  everyone has a chance of doing well.
