So what are your cycling plans for 2011?

 

I would like to do a stage race...Something like the 3 towers.

Maybe something like a 12hr relay type race - maybe setup a team from the hub???

And a race in another province. Something like the Hill2Hill or Sewekespoort...But we'll see.

Sabie Classic, Forest 2 Falls and Knysna Classic are already being planned for - all of them are nice races for the family to come along with as well, so no complaints from anyone.

Would def like to do the 3 towers again - but then either slow enough that I can take photos with my DSLR or it needs to be raced all out, I was not impressed with my mediocre effort this year Thinks I need to find a hot mixed team partner to motivate me

 

Nissan Series - will try do all the half-marathons again.

Will see if I can travel to the MTN half-marathons as well.

 

Doing my 1st Xterra at Buffelspoort.

Would like to do more Dua-athlons as well.

 

Smaller races like Babba's, Vori-berg, Kgswane, Blue moonlight Lodge etc.

 

Would also like to do a 24hr ride, but in a team format.

 

Finally, some cross-country racing ! Kinda scarce in Gautengaleng

Planning to go down for the Argus MTB in March... doing some riding around Paarl and Bettys Bay while were there. Always a lekker trip.

 

Some mates are swimming the Midmar mile, so we'll tag along and ride the Karkloof reserve on the Saturday. Have heard good stuff about it.

 

And I really want to do the Honda Mountain Trophy in May. Haven't heard anything about it yet though.

 

And then I'm almost being bullied into doing the Kremetart road race , which means getting a road bike... Sounds like a nice ride though!

Have you done the Argus MTB race before? I did it this year and did enjoy it very much. Die Burger MTB challenge / GravelTravel / etc was much better!
