Heart rate monitors and women

Is it comfortable for a woman to wear a heart rate monitor when she's wearing a sports bra? Want to get one for my girl, but this issue is puzzling. Some say it chafes them if they wear it underneath the bra strap. Please help.

I have a Polar HR monitor and have had no problems.

i have no problems at all wearing my polar or my garmin strap under sports bras. have had issues wearing under "normal" underwire bras though

You have a heart..... I do not think so ..... anycase I detest underwire bra's as the wire can get out and stick men in their eyes!!!!!!!..... EM are not allowed to wear them.
