Eldron Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) on Monday confirmed it received two complaints about Power Balance wristbands. The company behind the bracelets claims that its product improves balance and increases energy levels. The Free Society of South Africa's Jaques Rosoeu said he complained to the ASA because of the claims made by the Power Balance company: "They do claim that strength, flexibility and balance are directly affected." The company's Steven Reed said the bands live up to their promises: "We take our product very seriously. We do stand by our product and will always do." Australian authorities have already ordered the firm to retract its claims as it cannot scientifically prove them. Methinks Steven Reed needs to be bashed over the head with the honesty stick - or at least read the inter company memo from Power Balance Autralia. Please send as many complaints to the ASA as you can to remove the curse of the Power Balance from South Africa!

Ions in a band on your arm... WTF next? So tired of this crap, but moreso tired of the people that continually fall for it! Evidently the people who do fall for it, have no knowledge of chemistry whatsoever. These fads should be shut down for good.

My post came across a tad wrong, but what you say here is what i meant - they know full well it is a load of rubbish, yet they pout on about chemistry of which they have no knowledge. I do laugh at the high end guys though when i see a PB band on their arms
