It depends on tire volume, type of riding you do and type of terrain.

 

Generally a large volume tire (don't be fooled by the size indicated on the tire, a 2.1 Saguaro propable has a larger volume than a 2.4 Mountain King for example) can be pumped lower pressures than a small volume tire.

 

For the normal marathon riding we do in SA, I go for 30psi up front and 35psi in the rear (if both are the same tire of around 2.0in), but I know of guys running them up to 10psi each less. Oh, I weigh 80kg.

I think 2.2 would be a good starting point ride try adjust to what you feel works for you.

Dont be surprised if you take a while to get used to lower pressures and may want to run a bit higher at first.
