Dear Mr President

 

 

 

Can you tell us the planning and vision for Team South Africa for the 2008 Junior World Cycling Championships that will be in Cape Town during July 2008.

 

 

 

1) Its now 8 months to the start of this prestigious event

 

 

 

2) What planning has been done to enter a well prepared team for this Championships

 

 

 

3) What criteria is set to qualify for such a team or squad

 

 

 

4) What criteria will be used for selection of such a team

 

 

 

Or... Is this just another team that is entered into the World Champs

Very important question POPEYE, our province raised the same issue last week in a letter to CSA/Lawrence, its almost too late again(to prepare) and its right here in SA!

Breeze has sent in a million an one suggestions, programs, schedules, etc to CSA. The road commision has to communicate and approve with her on this and nothing yet, ever. I know the President was trying to get that process on the road and get them to include her suggestions, but commes from the commisions not coming back to her. Just a remnider: Breeze does know what she is talking about as she did run the Jnuior team whose UCI points wilst competing in Europe in 2005 was equal to that of number 2 in the World...

It is good to wax lyrical about what will be brought in by hosting these events ( Mr President's last newsletter)however to have the people on the ground held in suspense makes one wonder or is it like most companies "we boast about our profits etc yet when it comes to increases we plead poverty because the monies must be used elsewhere not on the job at hand.

 

 

 

Breeze present a business plan and the names of the young ones you know are capable of producing the goods and request they be put on a program now already to represent our country with pride and dignity oh before I forget this been juniors where our development base starts include some of the PDI's in the camp to learn and grow with the best we have which will help with their transformation from the bottom up to a level where they can be looked upon as development riders equal to their peers in the future( Prevent the negative insinuations from spoiling a true united team as the bokke have proven can be done).
