Rent-Smart Posted October 29, 2007 Share I tend to agree' date=' although I take my hat off to campaigns like "Think Bike". Bizarrely I've seen a number of taxis with those stickers, even more bizarre I've seen them give way for motorcyclists. [/quote'] Sounds indeed bizarr. Tell us more about "Think Bike" please. linnega Posted October 29, 2007 Share Agreed - always wear my safety belt. Pretty good evidence that they are effective. I never run red lights unless I am very sure that it is safe and that I won't negatively influence traffic flow. Passing parked cars is not an issue as they are not in the lane technically (even if they are partially in the lane). The rule simply states that no vehicle may pass another in the same lane, with an exclusion made for bikes/bicycles passing bikes/bicycles. Means that cars passing you are breaking the law unless they change lanes.
I stand amazed that silly persons like you with only 52 posts to his name come to this messageboard and without respect start dictating terms. Either you join and respect or you take your hat and f....off!!!!!!! Those of you who do not want to stop at robots ..... come live in Lagos, There are currently NO operating robots (that I know of) in a City with 20 million inhabitants. You however have to face the Okadas (125cc motorbikes with retired Kamikaze pilots riding them) They must surely be the best bike riders in the world but also ones with the least respect for any rules, decency or decorum. They would quickly slap the blue smithereens out of any Club 100 so called Elite club who misbehaves on the road.
Delgado Posted October 29, 2007 Share Gibts so was?Klar ueberall' date=' da die meisten Englisch sprechen. A South African complained once as he wanted to learn German in Germany and the Germans talked back English as they wanted to improve their own skills.Shall we start a German thread, so the Afrikaans people start writing English again?[/quote'] Jawohl mein herr!! Satan Posted October 29, 2007 Share To qoute a well known saying "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"... This applies here.We have all jumped lights, littered at some stage or even ridden two abreast (personally, I like 2breasts on a ride )So to sit and discuss this at great lentgh is a waste of time.If we could change it, then we could do the same for motoring...no more would I have to get p!$$#d everytime somebody "sat" in the fast lane, or UNDERTOOK, or my personal favourite...drive with a child standing on the seat.Face it...its a lost cause, one we are all guilty of... slowpoke Posted October 29, 2007 Share d_d, don't worry about not having a ride... a broken down m'bike is far more effort to sort out than mtb or race bike! my house has gone from 3 bikes to 1 - my mtb is still at michH's place and my honda is in Heilbron! (hope to go recover it on saturday)
