scuzzy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Hi I'm in the market for a new helmet and was wondering if anybody has first hand experience between the Bell Sweep en Rudy Project Sterling helmets. I can unerstand that it is probably personal prefs, but any input would be very nice. Thanks

Minion Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 What's the crash replacement policy on the Rudy? Bells bought from a local store can be replaced for 70% off retail price if you crash it within three years of buying it.

Grebel Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I bought a Bell Sweep from CRC and I am not that stoked with it. Friend got the Giro and his looks better IMHO. The sweep seems to hurt my head at the top (It might be a bit big). Planning some self adhesive foam tape to eliminate the pressure points on the top of my head.

scuzzy Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 I went to CWC this morning to fit the Rudy's, wow, what a comfy fit!!! I did try the Sweep as well, didn't have padding in and only had a large, but the Rudy's sure did fit better.
Bat-ass Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I got the Rudy sterling last week and its the most comfortable helmet i have had. my previous was a Giro Atmos and i struggled with it for 3 years, was never comfortable!!I just feel like my head is being looked after it the Rudy!!!

Prince Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I have had both and both are brilliant, BUT it all depends on the shape of your head. The Rudy sits lower on my head so all in all it looks slightly better.
Weight Weenie Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 From what I've heard, Bell fits bigger pips better, I've had a slant and a sweep and both fit me well and are comfy. But then again I do have quite a big head
