Ill try my best! :)

The saturday early morning will also be better for me too.

I also have sunday commitments like Wannabe.

Anyone keen to do this from table view?

Yup. Although I can only confirm closer to the time. Serious concern whether my fitness will allow it; and I wouldn't want to hold anyone back. If I actually start training in the next month I might be up to it.

Of course, if we travel at 28km/h or less on average, then distance becomes less of a concern.

Cool

I need to hit some big mileage this weekend hard otherwise I am not sure how the 160+ km is going to fair for me either.

Don't worry, if avg is anywhere close to 28km/h, we went far too hard.

Not a last minute training stint, just a leisurely ride with likeminded people, and familiarising one with the route once again. We might even stop somewhere along the route for a quick cuppa, if there is consensus.

I wish I could be there for this ride, sounds AMAZING, Ill still be at altitude then :(

Not to hijack the thread but the Friday before the race (11th), anyone keen to have a group ride somewhere of sorts? Im pretty easy on the route. I know most of you work but for those that dont?

Cool. Perhaps those who go from table view can meet up somewhere along main rd or wherever the route goes through near the paarden eiland/N1 section. At least then we don't have to go all the way into town?

I dont really think those extra 5km is going to kill us :P

What route does this "tour" take?

Do you ride down lower main rd past the river club?

And then where? Do you keep on that road all the way to westlake, 1 million traffic lights later?

Niklasvm is the official tour guide for the section up to Boyes drive. Can't remember that we had too many traffic lights on the route we took the last time.We did go past Observatory to Claremont.

PM him, he'll be able to set your mind at rest.

SirK,

Can you pick me and the 'Dale up for this training ride?

Cool  What time? Can't remember what time I picked you up the last time we attempted the route

@Marius - yeah, he rides through and you rock up in your Golf (5?)...... nice buddy you are :P I would join the ride into town but too much at risk so close to 'THE' race.

It took us 25 mins to get to town.

0515 pick up is cool, man.

Bring your best ropes for the 'Dale... -_-
