Hey, it goes to charity. Nothing wrong with that. And then when I think of all the organisation, the guys who have to get up at about 3am in the morning, the marshalls who stand in the sun all day, well, I just feel grateful that they're all doing it so I can have a lekker ride.

Yep.

Not doing it either.

3x the price is just not feasible.

Maybe if there was total route closure or something it would be a different story.

But, I dont really think they have a choice but to close vissers anyway, I wont ride on that road as it is too thin and dangerous as it is.

One worn tyred subaru and he would end up taking out the whole elite group in one go.

Think they can charge the premium because its one of the two pre Argus seeding events.

So possibly look to drawing in the many social riders that dont normally ride the other ppa rides, just the ARgus, this one and the Burger.

, maybe goodie bag with lots of craps!!!

Shampoo samples, Deep Heat bath sample, Sunscreen Sample, some pap or muesli sample, 3 month old Magazines and flyers of stuff you will never use or even read  Maxipads and tampons I never expected in a goodie bag, but I suppose whatever fills the bag!

All you Capetown larneys with your whites only bike lanes moan with a white bread under each arm. The races up here in GP have been over R150 for yonks and they do not include road closure. Save the extra R2000 you would have spend on carbon jockey wheels and bar end plugs and go race.

:( I'm not doing either - as a now purely social cyclist, I found the finish - Vissers and Odendaal - a bit too much out of the realms of "funrider". I struggled past literally hundreds pushing their bikes up both these climbs - what's the point of that?

At least I'm honest!
