It's a chequebook game. If you want to level the playing fields then you need to find more companies who see a return in the sport, change how sponsors get a return in the sport, find more rich guys who enjoy throwing money at it (like bmc/orica/tinkoff) or you limit the budgets. I think you can target and peak for certain races, but as a sprinter I need to start winning when I’m not so good as well and be more consistent in the hunt for the win...
