Wayne Potgieter Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Ok, went to Cajees yesterday to look for two MTB's I will be doing really basic XC riding with the wife. We plan on fitting one of those kiddie chairs for my little guy to come with, so nothing hectice. I looked at three bikes in our price range. 1st was a 2011 Giant Revel (really basic 21 speed, no disc brakes and only comes in blue) R2700 each 2nd was a 2009 Schwinn Mesa Disc brake (never ridden, just old stock) R3800 3rd was a 2011 Titan Comp (apparently made by Merida) much better components than all the others - hydro disc brakes, Maxxis tyres, 24 speed. R4000 I used to own a Schwinn, and was happy with it, but the Titan's components look far better, but i dont know much about the frame etc. The Titan looks the business aesthetically. (see pic) Or do i take R3k and rather buy second hand? HELP!!!

I am looking for feedback on the Titan Comp, Not the Titan Elite.
MyGT Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 was out shopping a few weeks ago for a mtb in 4k price range. i narrowed the options to either a Silverback Alpine or GT Avalanche 4.0. slightly more expensive. (Silverback R4200) eventually we opted for the Silverback, looked a better than the GT, but 2 good bikes.
Breezer Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Ek het vir my n Titan gekoop. Ek moes kies tussen die Titan Comp en merida tfs 100d. Die Titan versnel baie beter as die merida en die skokbreker is ook beter. Dit voel regtig soos n R8000 se fiets.
