Mate of mine is doing the non stop Sani2c. No marshalls will be available and organisers suggest GPRS system as they will have all the co-ordinates available for them to download. What is the best one, user friendly and pocket friendly?

Get one that uses AA batteries.  You'll most probably use the back light function at night and it drains batteries.  Take a spare set or two along.
