I agree with you. Back in the day when I was looking for a bike, a 110 compared to others with the same components cost between R8-R10k more and Pyga wasn't looking to budge on their pricing so they lost a customer.
Just a thought for next year onwards, the organisers must think about giving the members of Tygerberg MTB proper discount for entering the race, easy way to boost some numbers. Now the majority of the club members doesn't want to enter because we normally use all the routes for free. The event can also be used as a type of "Club champs".
Racetec messed up quite bad today. I suspect the first 4 in the 76 entered the 76 and then did the 33. The time I finished was used as my race time, which means I only finished 1.5 hours ago.
Buying and shipping a Canyon Lux Di2 from Germany to SA is still cheaper than buying a Dale or a Lized from the local shops in SA. Warranty claims is a problem, but I'll take a Canyon any day over the above mentioned bikes.
