  1. Way to go cervelo! Do you have any other irrrelevant, emotive "facts" you'd care to throw into the pot? A conspiracy theory, perhaps?
  2. Let me be quite clear here: Cyclists have every right to be on the road, and should be treated with respect and courtesy and respect by motorists. There is no indication in the story posted, and I am not alleging that either cyclist was doing anything wrong. But is it possible that Cape Rd in PE is not a good road for cyclists to be training on? This was apparently Schoeman's 2nd incident on this road in six months, which is why I ask, and I am asking this as a true question and not a rhetorical one - can a PE Hubber help out here?
  3. Napalm, there's a pretty scary coincidence here. Earlier this week the same Ebay story showed up on a classic car BBS I frequent. Weird!
  4. Reality events? Hell, I'm holding out for a surreality event! And the winner is...the naked man in full purple body paint clutching an inflatable giraffe, who narrowly beat the one-legged interpretive ice dancer in the speed flower arranging contest!
  5. you mean special don't you??? The lady said precious! As in rare and valued. (Unless of course she was talking about somebody else.)
  6. WTF? You mean I apologised and it was TitusTi that hurt your feelings? Good grief! Rude? Was there name calling? Was your lineage called into question? Were allegations made concerning your romantic preferences and farmyard animals? Where was the rudeness? Greenie, you really do need to grow just a slightly thicker skin. And you STILL haven't mastered the keyboard.
  7. Officer I had no idea she was 15! After all, TooHot!!! lives with his mom and he's not 15, so I thought it was normal to pick her up for her date at her parents' house. OK, I guess I should have paid more attention when she said things like "teacher", "homework" and "detention", but really, officer, I just thought that was all part of the, erm, service she was offering.
  8. Weren't they a German couple? (Although the thread topic is silent on the point, TitusTis, may I be the first to congratulate you on an excellent post? "...swinging his ___ all over the place..." "...the peloton acts as one to exorcise..." Sometimes I just have to admire your work.)
  9. Greenie Awfully sorry if that looked like anger being taken out on you; that was not my intention. And to be honest, re-reading my post (if that is what you are reacting to) I do not think that I posted an attack on you. Be that as it may, it is your perception that matters, so if I came across as angry, then I apologise. bikemonster
  10. Greenie The 'easier to type' thing has limited applicability if you are using a phone. If you are using a proper keyboard, learn to use the thing properly. Why? Because that makes it easier to read. I assume that you do not ride your bike everywhere using one blade only because it's just so difficult to use that left hand gear change. And no, I am not an English teacher either.
  11. greenie u not an english speaker r u
  12. That's why it's called Mxit. Cuz the kidz splng is all mxd up, u c.
  13. Looks like the "dinner training" proved too tough then...
  14. FFS! What does WADA have to do with this? WADA will ban stuff that confers a performance advantage. EPO most certainly is on the WADA list. Would you refuse a doctor's prescription for EPO? The guy who felt that Neurobion is not good for you was at least a doctor. Is Neurobion banned in "advanced countries"? I don't know, but it's a claim worth looking at. This thread started when somebody admitted to not eating vegetables and asked what to do to boost their immunity. There followed a suggestion that he (or she) should eat healthily plus umpteen posts, all as far as I know from totally unqualified people, suggesting this or that wonder cure. I hope that this post is legible, because damn, these surgical gloves make typing difficult, and the gas mask makes it hard for me to read the screen...
  15. Viral Choice is mostly vitamin C plus echinacea. Echinacea is supposed to be a wonder cure for colds but there is no clinical trial that backs up this claim. Vitamin C will at least do you no harm. SwissVan's reflexologist story makes perfect sense to me: when I eat stuff that I don't like my toes also curl. I had to look up reflexology... http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/reflex.html By comparison, chucking vitamins down your gullet is a great step forward. I am amazed that this thread has run as long as it has - TitusTi nailed it in on the first page with the first (I think) reply to the original question. I hope that most of you take better care of your bikes than you seem to take of your bodies.
  16. rock, save me a phone call: how much is the new battery? (I too have a Sigma light that is currently a Sigma dark...)
  17. and i don't eat veggies at all... Great Minds......what can I say! No veggies + expensive pee = great minds You think?
  18. "Neurobion is the brand name of a product that contains vitamin B-1, B-6 and B-12. Such a combination is not permitted and had been banned in all advanced countries. In India, the government belatedly banned it. However to evade the ban, some manufacturers added one or two additional agents and have continued to market the same. Such a combination is of no therapeutic value. Some patients get a perception of relief due to placebo effect. Such patients will get similar perception when distilled water is injected." 19. rock, as you guess, your battery is prolly toast from lack of use. You could try cycling (appropriate verb for the Hub) it through several charge/use cycles to see if it gets better. Not very likely to make a huge difference but it won't cost you anything to try.
  20. ROFLMFAO! You cannot be serious! Gee, why stop there? Take an aqualung with you if you really must go out at all, and be sure to swab yourself down with surgical spirits when you come home, before lying under an unltraviolet light for 10 minutes.
