    Stiff Shocks

All the manuals are available on the suntour site.
  2. Try Crown Cycles in Lansdowne Road , Claremont
  3. That's a piece of cycling history. Should be restored as original. I hope to be starting my project soon. Great find!
  4. Great guys. I don't buy anywhere else. I don't bother shopping around for prices unless it's for a part they don't have. Have known them for years and you are not likely to get a bad deal there.
  5. Perfectly normal. Chain tension is set at the tightest point. I think it's due to production tolerances. Noticed it from the first bike I had to track bikes.
  6. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing!
  7. Do you think we should have sat on our our arses and waited for white people to allow us our freedom? We have an ugly past but I have utmost respect for people that put there lives on the line so that I and others can have freedom of speech, association and movement. Freedom to enjoy cycling trails wherever, whenever without one group keeping the best for themselves. You sound like you would rather have oppressed people accept their lot and no fight for freedom. 8. Service manuals are available on Suntour website. They look easy to service yourself. Pressure on my suntour epicon varies between 45 to 60 psi depending on terrain. I weigh 83 kg. Specs are on website also. method and specs to set your sag is in manual too.
  9. LOL. Love this Seen you cycling all over Cape Town and can attest to that.
  10. Glad you survived this. Could have been another headline. Scary!
  11. Well done to the police!
  12. Something like this should never happen. We are a community by virtue of the sport we practise. There are so many bad things happening out there that small actions like helping a fellow cyclist in need can do a lot to prevent a possible incident.
  13. Bought a few items on the hub and have not had any problems so far. My 2c.
  14. Could be that the caliper o-rings are worn and not retracting the piston far enough. O-rings do harden over time.
  15. Sad news. At least he has departed doing something he loved. Condolences to his loved ones.
  16. I enjoyed the support along the route. That's what makes the Argus for me. Being a supporter last year motivated me to return to cycling after 20 years. Even got the wife interested. She completed her first Argus today and can't wait to return to the dirty side.
  17. Well done RSA
  18. Really hope she's ok. Not good to hear this happening in WC. I don't think twice about riding alone in Cape Town.
  19. Beautiful bike. Like the colour scheme. Looks good enough to break a few records.
  20. RIP George!
  21. Happened to me climbing up to Rhodes Memorial. Worst feeling in the world. Thought I was going to die. Problem was that I had too big a breakfast before ride.
  22. Hi Rocky. Welcome to the Hub. I started out with 20 km rides at a medium intensity. No need to kill yourself in the beginning. On weekends do a longer 3 hr ride to build up stamina. Ride on the road first to get fit, helps tremendously with enjoyment of mtb'ing. Do fit slicks for the road though, much better. Hit the trails as often as you can. My 2c. Bought my wife an Oakland as well, reasonable starter bike for price. Also helps to get bike set up properly seeing as you will be spending lots of time on it.
  23. Awesome bike. I'm jealous!
  24. With WP out can only hope for Cheetahs win. 21 - 15
