I agree with Rider . Most of the times a helmet light works fine , it's only when you start looking for a nice camping spot at night that you wish you had a 10000 lumen light . And i think the unplugging of his light wasn't intentional , long hours on the bike makes you do things without really thinking .

Up to now his navigation is very good and he might have go deep into the night to get to Hoffmeyer . We know there are still a few tricky (my standards) navigation sections on route none of which I would attempt at night but he will be forced to do it at his current pace . I am really holding thumbs for the dude .

Cut-off is 12 days . Think he's been at it for 8 days now .

Floris is going well . But Hoffmeyer is still far away and time is not his friend at this stage . Really hope he can make the cut-off .

No they knew where to go . I got confused , I always get lost towards the Left in the valley , don't really know what is on the other side .

You do see a lot of lights when you in the valley at night all around the rim . Even a red cell tower light of to the left but the cell light at Vuvu you don't see , cause it ain't working .

Not as lot of action currently but I already got a few candidates that I will be following closely . I just got this feeling that my 2015 efforts are gonna be put to shame .

Very sad news . I see Phillipa and John B will be entertaining us this year with their route choices . Wish I was there with them to see all the new places .
