    I live in Fourways, under the ORT approach and depart (some) routes, and close to Lanseria. It's been VERY quiet here since last week.

    Discovered that problem when I bought my second pair of running shoes (Maxed) - almost immediate Achilles/calf pain. Made sure the next pair (Asics) had less heel drop and problem ended at once.

    If my location was also Cape Town I think I'd have no need for a TV. In Jhb it's part of the coping mechanism.

    I had a Cox Baby Bee powered line-control model airplane when I was a kid that flew like that little dog is doing here.

    Sometimes your GPS will do that to you.

    Better than no flights at all, but the business travelers need those early/late flights so I expect that will drop passenger load factor even more, making the route even more marginal.

    The first movie boosted military recruiting in the USA when it launched. I wonder if this will do the same?

    Thanks, that sounds relatively straightforward. I guess tyres get turned regularly to avoid "flat spots"? The video has some interesting comments on Boeing's plans to monitor social media.

    An interesting review of the process of getting the 737Max back into service. Aside from the challenge of finding enough flight simulators for all the pilots when the time comes for retraining, it seems that reintegrating the aircraft into flight schedules will be a big challenge. Question for LWB: What's involved in bringing an aircraft that's been parked for a year or more back onto the flight-line?

    I foresee the cost of domestic flights increasing for the budget-conscious traveler. Lanseria has been a great airport for those of us in Jhb not close to ORT, and the cost of travel to ORT will have to be factored into the ticket prices now. You can either pay the Gautrain fare, or have the cost of parking at ORT (Lanseria isn't cheap for parking either, but it's been easy to get family to drop off or even Uber). As far as Lanseria-served flying is concerned, this leaves Safair on the CT route only. Kulula hasn't been a low-cost airline for ages (I don't even bother checking their prices anymore), so Safair will probably raise their prices (why not, if there's no other competitor?).
