  1. THANK YOU for all your support, messages and interest! You guys ROCK!! I pumped Albertus full of Myprodols this morning, and his dad took him to his first day of training to be a dental technologist We still have a completely new Pinarello frame hanging in the bike room (which is for sale, by the way!! Its a Prince and its BEAUTIFUL!))... but I heard another name mentioned this morning ...so hey ..all good! Just love - and speedy recovery to all those crash victims from Killarney! (can we have a rerun next week pls? )
  2. just home - A's shoulder was operated on - to repair that nice flesh wound. In a way, I'm just quietly grateful for how little happened, especially considering Carla ....and so many others Anyway, so now he's gone thru a back window once, and thru a windscreen once - both on Giants - so maybe try something else now. Top tube, ISP and one rear stay shatterd -- but hey ... good night and thank u for all the messages. I appreciate all!
  3. hi fand yes - i'm not sure yet if i will be attending all the races - but yeah, most likely i will have enough pics for a CD. (...so let me know if i need to 'look out' for you. And other tips to definitely make the pics - as always: be in the break, drop completely , attack - or pretend to )

  17. not to much on personal attacks, but in support of 'review of forum rules' .. couldn't people who are trolling, please be blocked from posting, or limited to 10 posts a day -- or something like 'go to jail, and wait for 3 rounds'.
  18. yip -- often people have gone for professional/scientific etc bike setup - but they have assymmetries in their normal gait - so in order to be 'correctly' setup -- you actually need to get as close to that 'normal assymmetry'. Stand in front of a long mirror, without correcting anything. Chances are that your one foot is at a sligth angle, compared to the other side. This assymmetry might originate at the pelvis, hip- , knee, or ankle joint .. and is 'your normal'. remember that when people have headache - they might be suffering from a normal cold, meningitis, brain cancer, bad eyes, too much alcohol .... The same goes with knee pain on the bike -- one guy's knee pain doesn't equal the other guys knee pain. There's no generic answer ...
  19. Hi Suikerbossie - saw this thread now by accident. I have quite a few pics up on my facebook site (Torque Pics - as if thats a name & surname) i'm not going to upload the DC pics to the website, but i've pretty much sorted all of the pics now. I've put together quite a few teams' pic CDs. So mail me your team name and i can have a look for you. rust @ iafrica dot com. the official photographers were Action Photo, but i haven't checked their site to see if they have uploaded yet.
  20. I want to get a bike for my computrainer that can be used by a number of people weighing > 130kgs What kind of bike would stand for this? Your input would be appreciated
  21. don't ignore this! but it sounds to me more like * possible previous injury (?whiplash/old rugby injury - neck related) * your position on the bike (bike maybe set up well, but u not sitting on it 'properly') -- i would like to see what u look like from the side, on yr bike. do u sag thru your shoulders, neck arched? but there's an unhappy nerve there
  22. DRAMA DRAMA ... my version of the pic thread is actually quite simple - i really wasn't up to another white line thread - i love this sport, i love being there with you, i will definitely post pics again -- but if i have to post only pics that satisfy the 'rules are rules' criterium .. i'm going to struggle on the DC batch ... and we end up getting everybody DQ'd (fun event!) ...and besides, I'm guilty too - for half of the time (on the m/bike) we don't even adhere to the traffic rules driving on the right side i uploaded a couple of pics here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2071475&id=1147886727&l=8c55c3d90d PS: and i will be putting CD's together for teams, which will for me be easier than uploading to the website - just so u know
  23. ... nah ... only about 5 000 (or whatever fills 40Gb) We have just arrived home Airbender -- and i'm trying to clear stuff off my hard drive to try and get this downloaded successfully -- so will post some asap
