    This......I helped man a waterpoint for the Peninsula Marathon and I was ashamed to call myself a cyclist. Big groups enjoying the partial road closure but forcing the runners who the road was managed for to the side. It was shocking. Some even hurling abuse because runners got in their way...........     I've had that issue. I've found the cheaper thermostats don't have the little air relief wobbler in them. I've started using Hella or Echlin only. You also need to pay attention to how they are installed. If that valve is at the lowest point it will also cause headaches. I suppose if it is a hole it won't matter. The valve type must be at the highest point it can be in the housing or the air just will not come out. Lot's of systems also have bleed valves at the highest point of the cooling systems now to make life easier. Sent from my SM-A510F using Tapatalk

    Haven't heard anything about the corolla but the Verso's had terrible versions of the CVT that would put the car in limp home mode or leave you stranded up a hill in traffic.     Don't get the DSG 1.4TSi combo if plan on keeping it for long. They seem to have the most problems. The 2.0l and DSG seems to play well together 200 000km on some of them and not even a clutch pack replacement. The 1.4's seem to eat a clutch pack at about 70 000 - 100 000km. CVT's are great but the ones from Nissan seem to die at just over 100 000km. Audis ones seem better but is moer expensive if valve bodies or the steel drive belt/chain goes. Toyotas CVTs overheated. For long term ownership a proper Auto or proper manual 'box is what I go for. If I'm only keeping it for 5-7 years DSG baby. Don't skip gearbox fluid changes and on the most part they last the life of the car. Sent from my SM-A510F using Tapatalk
