  1. There is no one better than Werner at Dagley Cycles. He used to work for Omnico when they still had a JHB branch and probably knows more about a lefty than anyone in SA Blueberry rd opposite Eagle Canyon Entrance 0769217099 I,ve had my lefty seviced with them every year without fail
  2. This is my thinking and why I want to look into adding it to my policy.
  3. Do any of you insure your riding accessories (ie. Shoes, helmet, GPS ECT)?
  4. If your can't mix 11 & 12 SPD components. You must either get all 11spd or all 12spd. My opinion go all 11spd, there are plenty upgrade kits available new and used in the the classified section. #shimanoforfishing #SRAMforracing ????
  5. Hey all, I've got Wahoo Tickr HR monitor that I've been using for a few months now. All's been fine until Thursday night when it failed to connect to any of my devices, tried changing batteries, tried resetting it as per Wahoo Troubleshooting page, nothing seems to work. Have any of you have the same problem and manage to find a solution to getting it to work. It was purchased from another Hubber so I obviously don't have store warranty but who could I contact to try see about warranties? Cheers in advance D
  6. Everything you have should be compatible, I've been running Shimano cassettes with SRAM chains and shifters for a while and never experienced any issues. Rapide chainrings are great and run week with both SRAM and Shimano cassettes
  7. Hey guys, might sound a bit dof but it's there a Shimano compatible XD Freebody? I've got a Shimano m8000 hub and want to change to XD drive, I e read a few forum.s online but very mixed results. Give it to me straight Cheers
  8. I had no issue leaving my bike rack in the boot of my car, I made sure that the service technician and the receptionist knew I was leaving it in the car.
  9. I just want to say that having a bike at your disposal is probably the best thing that a person can have. I'm not going to post a photo or say that I had the best view at the top of some mountain on my ride today. But what I would rather say is that it makes life simple and enjoyable. I had to take my car in for a service yesterday and instead of waiting for them to take me home or back to the office I opted to take my bike with me, once my car was booked in I bid farewell to the friendly staff that helped and hopped on my bike and took a leisurely cruise home. Its the simple things in life that keep us happy and a 4km ride home made my day. So where did my bike take me today? HOME, with a SMILE!
  10. One of the best view in JHB I recon. Had to dig deep to make it to the top in one go. Started at 14th avenue and stopped once I reached the top, hardest part is riding a 36t up front and an 11-36 cassette. The view is worth the suffering.
  11. If the race profile put us as going up the ICONIC Sani Pass then we are in for one "hell" of a climb. According to Strava efforts by previous people the segment has a 20.5km ride with 1305m of climbing. Looking at where the starting grounds are there is still another 5-8km from the grounds to the start of the segment. Day one is +-65km and day 2 is 70km
  12. Here is a bit of showing off for a Friday - Hakahana Tails Enduro And hopefully the next Cannondale I will hang along side old Lucy
  13. Ive recently had mine rebuilt as I had a small accident. Here she is in all her glory!
  14. Anyone looking for a Rep in the JHB area? I have 10 years of experience in FMCG/Retail and Hospitality. I would love to get into the Cycle industry if there is an opening anywhere as I have a serious passion for it (as do all of us I presume). CV is available on request, please PM, email or call if you know of anything. Thanks Darren drkrul@gmail.com 0823211261
  15. Hey guys, is there anyone who can help with a service manual or an exploded view of the Ritchey Comp V4 MTB Pedals. I had an unfortunate incident this week where my pedal decided to strip itself mid ride. I'm not sure what bearings were in there as it seems like they fell out when the pedal came off, I have very few tiny ball bearings left. I've included a pic of what pedals they are. Please help... D
  16. Looking for an update on trails in the Bronkies area, I've got family living on the Dam by the Kungweni Estate and apparently their is a 4x4 trail behind the hill that now has MTB trails? Can any one confirm or let me know of a decent 40-50km trail
  17. Gates have been opened again and trails is flowing through to the bottom fence is looking good. the bottom fence is also open
  18. As above, I do the same. Download the TCX. file from Bridge and upload to Strava.
  19. Are you using a Quick release tool? other wise try a little WD40/Q20 before breaking it. http://www.birzman.com/images/prod/p_1342494867477.png
  20. Ive been using this guys stuff for a few months now and ive never had any issues. spray, rinse and lube lightly. I see on Facebook they have also come out with a Bike wash.
  21. This is one race I look forward to each year, many years back it was where I progressed from the 20/30km races into the slightly harder and more adventurous 40+km races. Really keen on getting my race on next weekend!
  22. It looks like everyone is in for a DS but in my opinion a HT is the way to guy. "REAL MEN RIDE HARDTAIL" Get aggressive, commit to the trail and the bike will reward you with hours of fun. I ride plenty Marathons as well as stage races and never had a problem, make sue your bike is setup properly and you'll be comfortable.
  23. Is there anyone who has the complete Product code for the BB30 bearings? The Cannondale catalogue says KB6180/ but the local bearing supplier has said that is missing a digit, they know what bearing it is but the last digit is the size. The manufacturers do this so that you can not order bearings from out sourced suppliers.
  24. Yup got me Flash too. Ive never had a SRAM setup so this being my first bike with these components make my servicing skills slightly dim. I'm very hands on and like to fix and F$%k up thing in my own time but not knowing how this BB30 works I might be moering a little more than I should be. All the info thats been given sounds great, the bearing looks good and is still running smooth for now but would like to know how to fix it when it comes round. Stupid question but if I change to Shimano can I still use the crank and spindle I have or do I have to change the crank to Shimano to?
  25. Quick one... I have recently purchased a bike that has the SRAM BB30 Crank and bearing and it seems great, runs smooth and is easily maintained (regarding you have a pressfit tool and circlip removers ). Now my question to all you hubbers is what would you prefer? The simple Shimano Hollowtech type or the SRAM BB30? Reasons please... Side note, can you change from a BB30 to Hollowtech?
