  1. Congrats everyone! All deserve it! Brutal don't you maybe know who the mens most promising was.
  2. Really want the... 1. Tour de Lesotho- next year ur mine 2. Cape Epic than also a jersey from any Tour that i competed with.
  3. Guys, its not so cold in Bloem, only little bit off frost in the morning!! And to go with it. As i far as i have it on UCI rules is that leg warmers and what ever extra stuff is not alloud!!
  4. [Quote pedal- I think Proline's Managers comment was rather bad for a Pro Team.... we are not doing the chasing.... so why the hell are you racing, sorry riding?] I agree with proline on proving the point of that they are always chasing brakes and had enough of it, BUT they choose a wrong race to do it. There are a couple of teams in ladies racing and still in all the races proline and certain individuals do the chasing to pull bake the brake aways. They should have done this on a smaller race before the big event and at least then there could have been some good racing on a race like this!!
  5. Thanx Linnega But we have to many times been pushed of the roads by bad motorists and almost all trucks. You wanne get more than 100km training in our area, than it is the safest to use the highway. Know that is the law but safety first!!!!
  6. Apparently you may not ride on the national highway, but for some of us in the Free State(Bloemfontein) is it the safest road to use, due to the yellow line that protect us. Other roads only limit us to 10km of yellow line and then we have to risk it to ride on the small roads. Some of us where fined by traffic cops because we used the national highway ( but other times they just great us very friendly).
  7. Good one Gumpole!!!! !!!!!
  8. The best is to see how nervous some of the pro's get when they need to be tested and how rude they get to everyone around them. If the team manager is involved its even worse!
  9. Totally agree felt! There is track cycling in the cape and here up north. They can certainly take part of the awards, BUT do they not have their own type of awards thing! The lady from the North West is Elzette Visagie (how ever her name is spelt).
  10. Couple of the nominees of the Woman's cyclist of the year does not make sense! It is not just Yolandi that's missing but also Arien and Ronel that maybe could have been nominated instead!
  11. Probably true Icycling BUT not always! Know of 2 incidents where cyclist skipped red lights that caused accidents allthough themselves where not involved in the crash. Rather obey the rules. Better safe than sorry. I found if you time your riding well you can keep your speed more or less and obey the rules by using the cars to cross intersections and still get some good exercise in.
  12. Cat-i, many cyclist say its uncool cause its brakes their speed and what ever more reasons they have but I say it is a cool thing to stop and obey the rules. Then you at least show some respect for your fellow road users. If it can happen that more cyclist and other road users obey the rules more often, then probably there will be less incidents on the road.
  13. Guys, you don't know if Kenneth Ketterer skipped the crossing or not so until then we just hope Kenneth is back on the bike soon. Many cyclist skip various intersections no matter if they are professional or not. Most who do actually stick with the traffic laws is the funriders just starting out or the real slow ones that see each intersection as a recovery point.
  14. Did 102 km/h motorpacing on national highway. Some years ago where there a crazyhead in Bethlehem that did motorpacing way over 100 km/h on a regular basis.
