  1. Contact City Cycling Club in Edgemead, I know they do training sessions at the Velodrome.
  2. We need a photo of said storage unit.
  3. Thats my old baby. Glad it found such a good home.
  4. At the end of the day a bike is worth whatever someone is willing to pay, so feel free to sell the bike for whatever price you want.
  5. Torrelli is an American company that sourced cheap no name brand frames from Italy and imported them to America, branding them with a cool Italian sounding name. Like the Cosmos, this bike is also entry level.
  6. This bike is a South African made frame with components sourced from all over the world. The handlebars are indeed Italian, and the groupset(crank, gears, brakes etc) is Japanase made Shimano. STI gears stand for Shimano Total Integration, and it means that each gear changes with a solid click on the lever. Older non STI gears were known as friction gears, where you would have to change gears by fine tuning the lever without a solid click. This particular cosmos is entry level, with a bottom of the range frame tubing and a bottom of the range groupset. It is probably worth about R800.
  7. Not for me, but if it gets more people on bikes then it's done its job.
  8. Awesome. Probably the only guy to have raced consistently since the 80's.
  9. I have a feeling Cosmos was made in Babalegi along with the Le Turbos and Alpinas. Living in Krugersdorp in the 80's I used to hang out at Cajees alot, back when they were an awesome friendly bunch to deal with. I remember one of the guys saying he visited the Cosmos factory in Bop, and had a Cosmos frame custom painted with his name on it.
  10. Lol Morph, your patience is wearing thin lately.
  11. Sick of these lazy horses looking for a shortcut in life. I heard Estimate was hastling the other horses in the padock who have spoken out against drugs in racing, one of them has even packed it in for good.

    Who remembers?

I managed to finish the super heroes book, only to swap the whole thing for a BMX Action magazine.

    Who remembers?

Going to my neighbors house to watch wielie walie, haas das, liewe heksie and knersis on his black and white tv. Also have a vivid memory of my parents hiring a 16mm reel projector and.watching the original Poseidon movie on our lounge wall.

    Who remembers?

And across the road from hill snacks where the hang-gliders used to launch from they used to hold the SA MTB downhill and XC championships in the late 80's early 90's.

    Who remembers?

Who remembers when you could cycle from Krugersdorp to Magaliesburg every afternoon after school and not see a single shack or informal settlement. My only worry back then was being too slow through Krugersdorp West and the locals beating the crap out of the rooinek in his lycra.

    Who remembers?

Wembley had some Supercross races in the early 90's as well. Is the track still there?

Yip, that was it, Syringa Spa.
  18. Don't like that sloping top tube.

    Who remembers?

Loved the 80's motocross era. Nothing like a gate full of 250 2-strokes and the smell of methanol. Who remembers Syringa park and Brickor/Corobrick.
  20. Definitely one of the best sounding.
  21. You can pick one of those up really cheaply here in Aus. I quite like the Shamal myself:
  22. Just make sure you give the guy a letter with your phone number on it. You know what hubbers arelike, they'll chase the poor guy down and come beat their chests here on the hub how they have liberated a bike from some guy who clearly cant afford one.
  23. This web site is a business, and part of that business is classified ads. It amazes me how many forget this and assume that just because they are allowed to be part of this community they somehow have a say in how the business is run.
  24. Mexico in January http://itupeva.olx.com.br/specialized-venge-pro-iid-590790145
