  1. I would say that it is more technical than Teak Place. More loose rocks. But if you managed Teak fine you should be ok. Give it a try it can only make you stronger as long as you stay on the bike.
  2. I Think Skaap was trying to say NO!!
  3. We went this past weekend. Awesome ride but not for beginners. Unless they dont mind walking alot. We where told they are looking into putting out tracks that will be easier, but at the moment it is pretty though riding.
  4. Sounds good. This is a relatively safe area. It might be close to Munsieville but personally I can't see that being a problem. I will definately give it a try, hopefully Sunday. @harryhcs: What are you guys planning to charge after this weekend?
  5. Doing time on a indoor trainer is always boring, but once you get use to it it is not so bad. Most people give up to quickly. I normally ride while I am watching a TV show. Seems to keep my mind busy so that I don't get bored on the bike.
  6. Thanks Active dan. Please keep us updated.
  7. Why is it only open 6 - 12. What about the afternoons?
  8. Indoor trainers are normally noisy. Some are more noisy than others. The really expensive ones seem to be a bit better. Are you using a mountain bike or road bike? If it is a mountain bike with off-road (non slicks) it will be even worse.
  9. Has any one had a bad experience with Outsurance. I know a guy who claimed twice in one year for R50K plus both times and they paid out no problem. I am asking because my insurance is currently with them.canfan2010-06-15 02:11:02
  10. The guys did us proud!!!!! 1-1 is a good score against Mexico.
  11. Yes alot of us have a problem. Check this tread: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=86746
  12. Maybe there should rather be a category called off road or dirt road riding for people that doesn't want to ride any technical stuff. I think one can make a lot of money catering for people that want to go on a nice leisurely ride and get a medal at the end of the ride.
  13. Really? Would be awesome if Logwood opens up again. Where did you hear about it? I got an email from my cycling club. They are having a big carnival this weekend for the re-launch. It also wont be run by an outside company anymore, so they are dropping the prices from R50 to R30.
  14. That is a very nice bike aswell
  15. You can also get a Cannondale F4 for about R9000. Very nice bike and comes with a air shock(Big advantage in my mind).
  16. In the case of the Landmines thread' date=' someone else's dog [/quote']
  17. Then you either roll over and die' date=' or go to the doctor - ie do something about it, not go online and complain about your situation. This thread is in the comments (suggestions) section, meaning I've asked admin to please assist [/quote'] Agteros, I think we all agree with you on this. It gets a bit much when everybody moans about everything and their dog on this forum. We are just having some fun in the meantime.
  18. Isn't this a bitch and moan about bitching and moaning? canfan2010-05-25 01:15:30
  19. Based on the amount of pages on this post it looks like this is taken as the "Happy" post of the week on the Hub.
  20. Thats quite a HEAVY argument. But I have to agree.canfan2010-05-18 05:32:29
  21. 1. Its not a great idea to guess what the right setup should be. Rather get your bike setup done properly. It will help you alot. If you can't, don't go according to the height wrt your Hip. You have to look at your leg extension. 2. WRT to climbing, momentum is key. As soon as you loose momentum you are going to struggle.
