  1. ahhh, I need three more months training time
  2. Good try - it is the Rockies!
  3. This was out at Red Rocks - it's about 30 minutes outside of downtown Denver, Colorado. Cool place - always come across wildlife when I've been out there. This was a herd of about 20 Elk - Most of them have shed their antlers for spring, but a couple still had theirs.
  4. Not too bad actually - roughly 30 to 35 Fahrenheit which is a few degrees either side of freezing. Problem is, with it being spring and the trails unfreezing, means tons of mud until it gets warmer.
  5. Trails still thawing out
  6. A little present to myself to get me back into biking
  7. Getting back into biking after a few years off
  8. That mongoose looks nice - keen to try out a fat bike (but is it a waste to have a fat bike in South Africa?) Anyone have one here?
  9. Yawn, get over yourself. Stop behaving like a tjop.
  10. Not sure how this would hold up - remembering law classes back from varsity days, if you are in possession of stolen goods, you have no claim over them, even if you paid for them without knowing they were stolen. So even if he bought it from someone, without knowing it was stolen, he cannot lay charges, as it was never his ... my 2cents
  11. Prince Albert was the one place I was avoiding after today's threads!!! Thanks for all the info, going to have a look through it now
  12. Help So I’ve got nearly a month of leave coming up and need to do something. I was thinking of cycling from Durban to Cape Town on back-roads. I know there is the freedom trail route but I'm on a bit of a budget and that often goes through the middle of nowhere - I'll be carrying my own stuff so will need to pass shops every few days. Planning on camping most nights. If anyone lives anywhere between Durban and Cape Town and knows of back-roads or paths that I could possibly use (and that will take me near some civilisation where I can buy supplies every now and then), then please share the details with me. Thanks so much
  13. It's totally irrelevant if you would have done that, good for you. The OP did it his way and I'm glad he did. Cape Town Giants behaved how they did (more than one person to back it up) so that shouldn't be swept under the carpet. Best thing is they should appologise and take action to stop this sort of behaviour from happening in future
  14. The Hoerikwaggo actually goes over and along the mast tar road for a little while before dropping down into Hout Bay as far as I know
