  1. on the bottom left you should see a box that says other tasks select view import logbook settings the settings is where you would do all your distance settings,km instead of miles , weather , output files ,ect ect. the import will let you add your device like your 305 / 705 ect if you want some more help you can email me trevorgatdspdotcodotza

  9. Last week end i went shopping and was looking for and inexpensive GPS for the car and decided that due to the excellent service I got when i had some problems with my 305 and sportsman's warehouse I got myself another garmin the Nuvi 200. Ok its not the top of the range is just a basic GPS. It had on the old mapping 2008 and i wanted to update it to the 2009 version . so I called the guys in Cape town and over the phone they helped me within 10 mins i got sorted out. neway would just like to rant about their backup service and although there are alot of new products out there I have always got good service from them !!!! Thanks
  10. what is also important is to know what size you are !! like your inseam will determine what size you are looking at (small ,med or large) if you want disc brakes or not ?? my opinion is that good V brakes are sufficent and cheaper to maintain I have just changed from v brakes to disc brakes but cant really feel the diffrence. full suspension means you have a shock at the rear and front of the bike and a hardtail only has front shocks which i suggest you should look at. neway just my opinion but i am sure there are plenty of other out there that could help you more !!! Good Luck
  11. you have come to the right place happy hubbing i am sure there are lots of people out here that will help you .. i bought a good second hand bike for R3500 about 4 months ago so you should be able to get something but here you can spend thousands there is always something you need

  16. i often ride on the wrong side of the road when leaving saldanha and heading out to vredenburg before turning right at the jacobs bay intersection and then go back to the left side. my reason is this : there is a dual carriageway ie 4 lanes two out and two in. The two out is the old road that was resurfaced and has a shoulder of no more than 1/2 a metre and this is the outbound lane to vredenburg. the incoming one is a new road that was built recently and has a 2m shoulder with a yellow line which will allow two cyclists to pass each other with ease. i used to ride on the narrow shoulder until i was almost taken out and thought to myself hell life is so short and riding here is just not worth it so i switched to the other side where i have a clear view of the oncoming traffic and what they are doing and thus feel far safer. so all in all there are times when it is necessary to ride on the wrong side and i dont give two hoots who says what but its my life and i will do all to make sure i come home in one piece and not end up in a body bag !!!
