  6. dont bother with level 1. ask for BAA training. Then from there, if you so desire, go for AEA. then still is Paramedic. IE. Basic Life Support (BLS) Intermediate Life Support (ILS) Advanced Life Support (ILS) This sh*t aint cheap. And after a sh*t load of cash, and many, many sleepless nights while busy with studies, and then years of death and picking up body parts, you might just go crazy and loose your mind. Then, and only then, will you be ready to begin your training as a fireman.

  8. nearly got taken out by a truck main road fish hoek on thurs - dude just turned in front of me. told him driver's like him sucked. and calmly sipped on an energy gel as i moved off.
  9. eat like a horse but stay thin. gotta love that riding a bike can do that. feel sorry for people stuck in a gym all day trying to get in shape and not having any fun while doing it.
  10. chiro. yoga. lots of stretching. easing back into training. these can help. I had a slipped disc - twice in last ten years. L4 and L5. A real pain and the second time I lose 30% of the use of right leg. Just no sensation to the foot which dragged when I walked. Two sessions of chiro and it healed. Amazing the way this guy clicked my spine back into place. Dog leg stretches also good. For the bike - check stem not too long. Seat not too low in the nose. Seat not set too far back. Handlebar not too low. Al these things will cause you to be in a really low position. Great for aero, not great for the lower back.
  11. Have a photo of taken from the front where it looks like I am leading a bunch by some twenty meters and taking a corner. The truth was that the bunch was a lower seeded one that was about to catch, and, at great speed, pass me. And that I was aiming to pull off the road and abondan. No food, one bottle on a hot day, fo*all left in the tank. I just popped, then blew up, then wanted to cry like a smal girl. It's the worst feeling!
