  1. Another one is from Camps Bay main road robots (furthest on Hout Bay side), up Geneva drive and then up to the cable car station. Absolute killer climb, with loads of switchbacks.

  3. [quote=Andre Engelbrec THE BIGGEST JOKE IS WE HAD ANOTHER ROUND OF DELIVERIES. AFTER THESE DELIVERIES SOME OF OUR MEMBERS HAVE 4 [FOUR] LICENSED CARDS. WHO WILL CARRY THAT EXPENSE. This IS bullsh!t, I only got three cards. Where is my fourth?
  4. Have a look on the Sani 2 C website they have done some research on it - it's called Shigellosis. http://www.sani2c.co.za/index.php?sectionID=167&reportID=22
  5. Aah yes' date=' I have been man down since Friday night. So what do you think it was - all that cow sh!t, chicken burgers at the end of day 3? 4 others that I know of have been occupying the throne since Friday as well.[/quote'] I assume all you guys with bad stomachs did the adventure? My doc reckons the water table at the top of the last climb was the problem. My partner spent Saturday night in hospital on a drip, I've been struggling through it since Saturday morning. Antibiotic should kill off the bacteria today, and I'll be sorted by tomorrow. All I had at the last water table was a coke. But mind you, when you have over 1000 people re-using cups etc, just one of them needs to have a dodgy stomach and it will spread quickly.

  9. I am trying to decide between the Bontrager Revolt Super X and the Maxxis Larsen TT's. I have been riding the TT's for years now and have had no problems but am considering the Bontragers as they are quite a lot lighter. Can anyone tell me their experiences with Bontrager?
  10. The biggest payout ever from the RAF was in fact to a cyclist
  11. Friday, November 23, 2007 http://www.pedalpower.co.za/images/spacer.gifGeneral PPA News :: Flooded sections reported on DC routes The road between Ashton and Montagu was temporarily closed on Friday morning due to flooding. The good news is that the rain in the Swellendam area seems to be clearing. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> ?Our event crew is in constant contact with the Overberg Disaster Management team,? said PPA Chairman Steve Hayward, ?and we are monitoring the situation very closely.? ?We should be able to see within the next few hours how much water is still coming down from the catchment area, and how fast the rivers are clearing,? said PPA General Manager Karin Pohl. ?The problem areas seem to be the bridges in Montagu and Ashton, and Cogmanskloof. We have dispatched our own crew to assess the situation, and will provide an update as soon as possible. At this stage the Coronation Double Century will still be taking place tomorrow morning.?
