  1. Extra pair of legs normally is very handy.
  2. I think Chris and Brandon should stop this spat publically and sort it out between them. Not sure if it is posible after all the allegations, but give it a go and forget the ego's. Like all things, the truth must be somewhere between the 2 extremes.

  5. From bikeradar.com, something that can make a difference to the number of accedents on our roads: http://mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2007/12/24/cerevellum-280-80.jpg If rear view mirrors and periscopic vision helmets aren?t enough to make you feel safe, a new invention may put your mind at rest. The Cerevellum Hindsight rear view monitor gives road cyclists (or paranoid MTBers) a video feed of what?s going on behind them in real time. The Cerevellum is a parent unit which various devices can plug into. The prototype has a 3.5inch screen and a rechargeable battery with a four hour life. It can also hold 32MB of workout data and has four USB ports for expansion modules for other items from the Cerevellum range, which includes a GPS reader, heart rate monitor, and cycle computer. The image for the Hindsight rearview module is fed from a camera, either mounted to a handlebar end or seatpost. The makers say it could help reduce the number of cyclists? deaths caused by lack of rear vison ? 13 per cent of all fatal riding incidents according to some studies. It could also reduce the risks faced by club riders of bike on bike collisions when pack riding at high speed. The unit isn?t on the market yet, but if the inventor can find a backer the main unit is expected to sell for about $300 when it hits stores, with the price of the Hindsight module still to be estimated. However, whether the makers can persuade riders that using the monitor is safer than looking over their shoulder remains to be seen.
  6. Nice, but I must admit that it all looks out of propotions - I know, we need to get used to it. Love the single speed idea.

  18. Had a similar choice a couple of months, went with the Specialized because I like the suspention and frame looks more - I know, very objective....
  19. I know it is not about the bike, but getting my Stumpy was special. Also, riding early in the mornings in the Magalies Mountains.
  20. My best friend is a quad, and it is a lot tougher than one thinks. He has shown me to use every moment to your fullest. I think a lot about him when riding alone in the mountains. The funny thing is that most para's or quad's is actually more "happy" than most of us, and do not complain about life in general. A real lesson to all of us.
  21. You got to love steel frame bikes, classics. It is only a couple of kg heavier that the latest stuff, and they have soul. I also would stick with a reputable brand. Here is one of my puppies:
