  1. Any pic's to show the track?
  2. After about one year MTB riding, my back tyre looks a bit worse for wear, but the front looks almost as good as new. I ride mostly rocky / loose gravel singletrack. My question is, if I swap my back to the front, would I compromise safety (due to teh worn tyre)? I know that I will save a couple of rand, but a visit to the hospital would be far more expensive.
  3. Tough people, the single speed racers.

    2009 Raleigh

Just for the record, we bought a Raleigh Burner USA for my first child 14 years ago, and after going through various boys in the family, it is still going strong. The moral of the story? Not sure, actually, but for what it is worth, I think some people with stong "brand loyalty" cannot see other makes of bikes objectively.
  5. I will definitly bring my 9 year old. Thx.

  11. Lovely photo.
  12. I also would have cried. At least you still have your health.
  13. Read a similar artical in a UK MTB magazine. Like Mr. Bean would have said: "Brace yourselfs".
  14. Lovely pics. Looks cold though.
  15. After a mud-ride. Feeling "cool" after Logwood ride.
  16. Just a couple more pic. Bored at work, our computer system is down. Fooling around in the garden Logwood, think on Organ-grinder
  17. An interesting test on the "brain technology" in the lastest "What MTB UK" when they tested 7 bikes head-to-head in the 1500 pound bracket. The '08 Epic came out the worst of the lot, mainly due to the back shock on-off brain technology. They said it is the best Epic yet, but the re-active way the technology works is not on par with the latest shock technology from other manufacturers.

    My bragging

A bit of a disepointment after the 7 pages of slow buildup. Just joking, lovely bike. Enjoy her.
  19. Maybe a Wii? At least that have some component of physical activity.
  20. It is so nice to have comments like that from your son. Just by the way, my wife is a psycologist, so I get to lay down on the couch every evening......
  21. There is an interesting editorial article in the "What MTB UK" every month, and the writer last month said someting on the lines of: Because of the advances in shock technology, the design of the layout of the back shock is not critical anymore, e.g. single pivot vs 4-bar vs VPP. The differences is minimal, and the manufacturers are converging on the lowest mass layouts. Made sense to me.
