  4. if that was you with no rhythm on the flats......well then.... it would appear as if I never have any rhythm at all
  5. did a couple of laps today and saw a few of the TCS guys there. I regonised IanJ but not sure about the others. all of them made me look like I was pedaling backwards.
  6. yeah, the training clinics for the 94.7 are always held at the track on wednesdays so people can go ride for free. I assume it will be like that till november
  7. oh no! that means there will be more people I need to chase down on those climbs
  8. there's also talk of a little coffee shop opening. now that would be great!
  9. I also went. must say its a lot busier now than in the middle of winter when, on a good day, there was about 7 people
  10. seems lots of hubbers now go to kyalami. I haven't been there in a few weeks but plan to go this afternoon. (if, when I go outside, the wind doesn't blow me away) anybody else going?
  11. Hey MichaelH! nope, didn't race yesterday. Wolfie and I did our usual saturday morning club ride and suffered in the wind. at one stage I was pedaling downhill as hard as I could but only reached 30km/h. Glad to see you had some good company yesterday. next race I'm planning to do is Dome2Dome and will also be traveling to do the Shova
  12. sadly I don't get paid, i just get a bill at the end of every month. would appear i need to pay to work for my company.
  13. yip, heard on the radio he rolled his car
  14. and as far as I remember from previous discussions, one is only allowed two day licenses per year?

well done Shaun! thanx for all the effort you put into making the roads safer for all of us
  16. I will also not be albe to attend the memorial ride on the 7th but will be able to make the one on the 11th. was thinking maybe those who won't be able to make the ride on the 7th, could perhaps wear a black armband while training on that day to pay tribute to Ryan. just a thought...
  17. HR - sadly someone beat me to putting up a sign on Klapperkop, damn, i wish it was me! and i'm waiting for the weather to clear up a bit then its time to go visit the signs bobbie - hopefully I'll get a chance to get to the coast before amashova. if not, I know I'm heading that way for work beginning november (I think) ooohhhh... and congrats to my fellow winners, great to see people with such big hearts.

reading through all these pages of tributes, I have tears rolling down my face. I never knew Ryan but the impact he made on those around him as a lasting tribute to a great person. my deepest sympathy and condolences to his near and dear ones. RIP

ouch, thoughts and prayers are with him
  21. running shoes will definitely go, will remember to take the HR monitor as well (thanx for reminding me KF). and also a good plan to keep the people informed, thanx Ratty, bring your roadbike when coming to Pta and just let of the hubbers know where you are, we can sort something out so you won't get lost
  22. I will be driving to some of the places and flying to others. And I can imagine training in unfamiliar areas and dragging the bike everywhere will be a challenge to say the least. But since it seems this will take almost three months, I will have to make a plan that's why I'm hoping the hubbers will help me out when I get to the diffenret places, maybe tell me the good places to train, places to avoid, maybe I can even join them. at least, that's the plan for now
  23. chatted to some of the people in the office today, some of the ones who've done this traveling thing. seems there is no problem with me taking my bike along and there is also place to cycle. when I find out when i'll be where, I think I might make a plan to meet up with some hubbers. HR - thanx for the offer of the rollers, luckily (?) I have my own
  24. Thoughts and prayers with the family and dear ones.
  25. various places around the country - Kimberly, Rustenburg, Cape Town, Durban and a couple of other places. Might even include Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana. Every week, different location.
