  1. For yesterday I think I read him using a compact 38 small crank with 11-28 cassette.
  2. I'm in, my first one! But coming from only road racing. Ok with running, but swimming might be a problem...
  3. And neither is the medical profession I'm sorry to say. They just follow research and papers sponsored and pushed by big pharma.
  4. Here is an updated profile graph including Panorama stage 3 and the Kremetart race. I've also included the names of the climbs. Like I said before, I used data direct from gpx which I think skews the profiles a bit in terms of time, but still, it gives an interesting comparison. Thanks Wez for the extra data! Click on the graph to see the complete graph.
  5. Entered! It will be my first one!
  6. If somebody can send me those gpx files I can include it... For those that's interested in how mountains are classified, http://inrng.com/2012/07/tour-climbs-categories/
  7. I've done a quick comparison with a few local races and a training ride with Saturday's stage 8. I simply plotted the elevation from the gpx files with no editing. Thank you for the help jcza. The left hand scale is the elevation.
  8. Anybody - can you show me proof and evidence that links cholesterol and heart disease? As far as I know it's never been proven.
  9. How does the new positioning system work? It was always that if you're ahead in position and just finish in the same bunch (even last) you keep your position.
  10. I'm loving what you're doing geraldm24
  11. I still think there has to be another layer of transparency when you want to become a seller and buyer, for example, all the information has to be included in your profile and you have to include a picture. I don't like "not telling" or "unkown".
  12. I was wondering when someone was going to bring this up! Interesting debate, but which I can't participate in because I don't know enough yet.
  13. I was just throwing a pun in there!
  14. For the power and watt geeks, from the letour website: Clarke explains gains from training... LeTour.fr did an interview with Simon Clarke a day after he was selected for his first start in the race. He spoke about his training program and talked about the developments he makes as the season progresses. Obviously the intensity ramps up as he gets closer to the main goals of the season. So, does he notice the improvements in your body? “Yeah, definitely," he said. "You don’t necessarily start pushing a whole lot more watts, but if you can lose weight and be lighter and still push the same watts then you’re making quite big gains anyway. “When I start off, I’m doing 370 watts but I’m at 67kg so four minutes only gets me 1.1km up the hill. Then, when I’m doing 370 watts and I’m 63kg, I’m riding 1.5km up the hill.”
  15. Not so sure about your first paragraph and your second paragraph is wrong. With electronic timing, everybody in the same batch gets the same start time and not when you actually roll over the line, therefore the first guy over the finish line will have the fastest time.
  16. You do of course see the irony of your post?
  17. They are pro cyclists - a 100m sprint is not going to make one bit of a difference. People are making too-big-a-whoohaa about what he did.
  18. You took a bit of a dip in March!
  19. From what program is that and what does the scales mean?
  20. I'm a sun kid... cold... bad! April/May was a forced rest due to a certain red car, but I've been slowly picking up again. Graph in hours. And I've started to run, although very short bits.
  21. Yeah!! I hope it's not a case of too hard too early...
  22. PM sent. My team: Teams: Sky Omega Pharma Lotto-Belisol Riders: Chris Froome Alberto Contodor Mark Cavendish Teejay van Garderen Peter Sagan Andrew Talansky Marcel Kittel Thomas Voeckler Cadel Evans
