  1. I think the new range of GT bikes are very good looking and from the reviews it seems like their bikes trail/enduro are pretty good performance wise. And GT was always on the more reasonable side of prices.
  2. Hey guys, I am looking at the GT Sensor and Force right now and I am quite liking what I am seeing. Got me wondering who does GT or sells the more trail - enduro GT bikes in SA? Was curious on pricing.
  3. There was a guy that was confronted at the track here behind a High School and said please take my phone and wallet in panic and reached into his pocket for his phone in the one hand and the other he delayed on purpose so that they can see the phone and in the motion of handing the phone the other hand he swung out with a pepper spray and sprayed the guys and managed to pick up his bike and get to safety. Maybe this sort of a thing can work, I guess it depends on the situation too.
  4. Pulling or accidentally push or knock the brake lever without having a clip in. Removing a cassette in a rush and ended up damaging the cassette so much that some of the gears slipped the whole time no matter what. Doing multiple stuff at the same and having a phone call on loud speaker ended up with a tubeless installation done but with the tyre's rotation the wrong way. Doing bike maintenance (clean chain and rings etc.) without wearing gloves. Not really an issue but just saves you so much time, I don't mind dirty hands at all but since I started wearing gloves I will never stop. Gave my headset a nice proper service but broke the bottom bearing's seal ring. Put on new lock on grips forgot to tighten them hopped on the bike and in this motion slipped and my feet got stuck and tangled and ended on the floor. Figured out that there is a L and R pedal after installation. The list is really long haha But the best for me is: Offering to help/fix something on a bike for someone but it ends up being much worse than expected and the person then blames/avoids you and even says you scratched their stanchion.
  5. OneUp Components carbon bar and you will be set. Has amazing design and manufacturing. https://trailtechcycles.co.za/collections/oneup-components?page=2 If you like a proper review: OneUp bars & stem next on my list.
  6. Does this only happen when you use the brake? If it happens without you using the brake it can also be your bearings in your hub(s) that needs some grease.
  7. Hi guys, So I am considering buying a Cotic Rocket frame and would like to know if anyone would be able to tell me what mounting hardware I would need to mount my RockShox Monarch Plus RC3 to this frame, if I need any? Don't know much about shocks and fitting them to be honest. Thanks
  8. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/353465-commencal-meta-v4/ There you go.
  9. Don't know the extent of your budget but these are probably the best ones you can buy that delivers amazing audio and noise cancelling. https://www.takealot.com/sony-wireless-noise-cancelling-headphones-black/PLID52537918
  10. I got a bike from them, very friendly over the phone and what not. But, I never got my water bottle cage with which I added and the tyres the bike came with wasn't the same as in the ad, I got two Spez Slaughters front and rear which honestly is a very big bummer that tyre on the front was no good I tried it, so extra cost of getting a new tyre. And I honestly think they hide the worst damage in their ads but that is just me. Overall, just another 2nd hand option.
  11. Jip, got the bike like that both tyres are also new so it's kind of like okay nice spare tyre for the back going to get something else on the front as soon as pay day comes around and maybe one or two more things who knows haha
  12. Anyone know if there will be any extra costs duties / VAT on a fork and dropper post? Want to buy from CRC maybe. Thanks!
  13. Always just see road and track bikes here and not really any real bikes thought I would help this thread a bit.
  14. I bump my ads because I see it as supporting the platform instead of making a new post. Go look at Carbonite similar thing but for computers and they ask for donations. Stuff costs money. You already have a free service.
