  1. Anyone know if there will be any extra costs duties / VAT on a fork and dropper post? Want to buy from CRC maybe. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys, I am looking at getting a new fork and already have my eyes set on one but the fork does have some marks on the one stanchion. It is at a bike shop and I was told these are fine and wouldn't be an issue. But could they possibly be an issue or become an issue? From what I can tell it looks like they are fine but you know I want to be extra sure.
  3. Let him sit in the saddle for a few hours and ride, he will find out real quick why the fancy gear has a point
  4. Buy a POC. It's what they do and they do it really well.
  5. Westpeak is really nice yeah. I have 4 pairs I don't buy other baggies anymore. If needed I use Fox Launch Enduro knee pads and they fit perfectly fine just right. I also prefer my baggies without the padding attached to the pants, because I have no problem using pants 2-3 days at once but not the padding though that is a bit extreme for me.
  6. Always just see road and track bikes here and not really any real bikes thought I would help this thread a bit.
  7. Who is riding that new Spez Shiv Disc.
  8. Because that Genius still costs an arm and a leg haha so old or new still going to need credit I guess. But yeah I was also like but why? And they don't even really do the Genius range so why choose that go with a Spark instead target your audience.
  9. I bump my ads because I see it as supporting the platform instead of making a new post. Go look at Carbonite similar thing but for computers and they ask for donations. Stuff costs money. You already have a free service.
  10. Hey everyone, Noticed a these bunch of new accounts that were created with similar names and in a very short period of time.
  11. Yes, I realized as much already kind of figured it out and got over the idea haha thanks for the replies.
  12. Sorry I ride the Genius in the High Setting
  13. Okay now comparing it to my PYGA Pascoe I use to have also in a Medium before the SCOTT. It seem to me like the Merida Small might work? Am I wrong?
  14. Hey guys, So I currently ride a Scott Genius 2018 but I am not looking at the Merida One Forty, sadly there aren't any Mediums left in the country and the bike really ticks all of my boxes. So, I was looking at the geometry of both bikes and my Medium Genius fits me perfectly. So I thought let me look at the Merida Small. I am no pro at these things but doesn't the Merida Small look pretty much the same as the Medium Genius when looking at the measurements? What will make the Merida too small for me then? I really want the Merida and will buy the Small if someone with good knowledge can assist me here. I am 1.71 tall and leg inseam is 83cm if that helps.
  15. Thanks a lot will get in touch.
  16. Hey everyone, So I am looking at maybe getting a new bike and Commencal is one of the brands I am looking at. I went onto their website and went to the South African region and it says coming soon. Does anyone know when Commencal will be in SA, should I wait a bit anyone know someone that knows someone that I could contact?
  17. Unpopular opinion incoming: I don't like their baggies. I never quite found a pair that I thought fits good. Some are too baggy at the bottom (thebusiness) and some way too long (kicker) and other just don't fit as nice. I have no issue with the products in terms of quality. I guess it is more the way it fits. I prefer a little shorter (just above the knee) and slimmer baggies especially at the knees. I have 2 pairs and 2 bibs (alliance) and I find the products to be average but they are a bit more affordable, so guess there is that. I honestly prefer Westpeak shorts over most.
  18. I don't ride at Klapperkop but I am willing to chip in to support cycling as a community. And I believe only once everyone starts being more supportive of things like this where their money is required it is the only way a difference can be made, I honestly don't think there is any other way anymore. Everyone wants safety and security but very few is willing to pay for it. I guess people probably don't think they will get their money's worth because how reliable will the security be? But only one way to find out and also I am not just looking at this from a cycling point of view but also community. Heard some pretty terrible stories of people driving through there and even stopping to look at the sunset. I am also willing to come and work on those trails too
