  1. Boys and girls, just a reminder to log all your training for the month. And if you've been slacking, you have about 72 hours to make up for lost time and distance! So HEman, you should be able to make up your shortfall of 33hours
  2. Can you either reply to this with your number or PM it to me. For some reason I can't get the full hub on my phone and I know your number is in your signature!
  3. Sweet! So what's the dealio with the accomodation?

  5. You have to enter in your workouts. You can do it manually or upload .gpx, .fit, or .tcx files
  6. See the thread here: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/111863-the-hub-sa-endomondo-challenges/
  7. Join the Hub Challenge on Endomondo so that I can get more competition! Although Dunwiel is giving me a run for my money! http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/3508637
  8. Ok, it's seems I'm either dumb enough or a sucker for punishment. But I've added another one for most time working out: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/3924269 Figured it'd be easier than changing back and forth and having the program freak out on me again!
  9. Don't thank me yet, I changed it back to KM's. I was just curious as to what the difference is. What I can do is at the end of the challenge or end of each month see who's been working out the most.
  10. This is the comparison when I changed it (although it seems I've screwed up something somewhere when I changed it back ) Hopefully it'll get sorted soon...
  11. Interesting question... But it is the most km's for any sport whether it's swimming, running, walking the dog, or cycling. But what about the guys that plod along at 10km/h vs. 40km/h. Trust me if I could do it on time, I'd probably blow everyone away cause I'm so slow!
  12. Don't forget to update your workouts for the month! I'm going to be posting the results for February tomorrow!
  13. Just a friendly reminder boys and girls to log all your workouts before the end of the month! And you have the WHOLE weekend to get some more mileage in!
  14. I'm just going to do it to enjoy it and finish it, have been sidetracked due to an injury. South, PA, 5:30
  15. Hahaha... Yeah! It would've been a floggin' from all the women's rights groups. I personally think it's a cool initiative to organize a small multi-day cycle tour like this. Especially the goodie bag looks sweet! If my fitness level were up to par then I'd jump on the bandwagon if they offered a Heels n Wheels Cycle Tour.
  16. I think the problem was that this event was advertised as an Executive Tour, no where in the promotion of the event did it state men only. And I would hate to think that the term "Executive" implies "male". Just my 2c
  17. I don't think you can swim there. Are you specifically looking for open water swimming, because there's a group swimming out of Bellville pool M-F. If you want to come check it out sometime, I can just talk to the coach and I'm very certain that she'll let you join in a couple of times. Btw, I haven't had a chance to send an e-mail off about Ashanti Dam, will do so now. This work thing has been getting in the way of hubbing!
  18. Which clubs did you contact? I've got a contact at WP swimming so can find out for you. As for swim programs, I like these workouts: http://ruthkazez.com/50swimworkouts.html and they also have a beginner plan that you can use. Just follow the links up at the top.
  19. I'm still waiting for a respone! Submitted my query on the 2nd!
  20. Thanks, HEman already PMed it to me. I'm sure it was just a garmin error or something! Cause if it only takes 3 hours to get to Greenland, then I'd like to know what he has for breakfast!
  21. Does anyone have his Hubname, otherwise I'll just make an executive decision when I tally the results at the end of the month.
  22. To help create space around you at the start, run with your arms out wide and elbows out to the sides. It sounds weird, I know - but it works! Definitely agree about starting off to the side though!
  23. You can just enter it in manually, i.e. distance, time. As long as you can backup your results, I'm sure everyone will be happy. Just PM me a file, and I'll see if it works on another program that I have.
  24. I was in the international group in 2010, and finished somewhere in the middle. And that was my worst Argus time to date.
  25. I want to see if I can finagle my way in to the international group...
