  1. We will have to make a breakfast stop somewhere!
  2. Did my first commute session last night and this morning! It was a blast! Going up Tiekie Draai will be some decent hill training, and then when I get fitter, I'll plan on going via Malanshoogte as well. Lots of friendly cyclists this morning! Planning on doing it again tomorrow night/Thursday morning. @pietas, I'll be keen to check out the route that you do as well. Right now on the mtb the debris isn't much of an issue, but if I take the road bike out, then it won't be so lekker.
  3. I'll answer for him... Make da circle beega... AKA, if you've got a bike and you want to ride with, we'll enjoy the company!

  6. Yup, plan is to take the mtb. Figured it'd be easier to ride through obstacles than with the dun wielitjies... But I'll first start off with driving through on a Monday with all my gear and clothes, then bike home Monday night and then back in Tuesday AM. I need my car at the office to go to meetings.
  7. I've decided that in order to get more time on the bike, I'm going to commute to work a few times a week... Does anyone else go from Durbanville to CC, that I can potentially tag along with? The proposed route is along Tiekie Draai to the Burgundy Estates, through Burgundy to Bosmansdam, and then up to CC. Is this route relatively "safe"?
  8. Wow, rough crowd!
  9. Maybe I should also do the 17th and then leave about 2 hours before you guys so I can finish at the same time!
  10. Yup, good meeting everyone! Was a lot of fun! Next time we shall be more prepared for some pre and post celebrations!
  11. Bummer! Next time then! Looks like we're going to have a lekker turn out!
  12. I'm in! Slow group though!
  13. Yup, normal clothes. Although you can be adventurous and dress up for Halloween!
  14. Yup, you can still catch a lift with me... Although I may charge you...
  15. Awesome! Looks like there are quite a few hubbers that are going to be there! So we're meeting at the circle on the McDonald's side at 9pm. And for those of you that are driving through, a few of us will be parking at the Virgin Active in Green Point and then making our way to the circle.
  16. Was a lekker race! Did the short route. Saw lots of hubbers at the start and chatted to them a bit! I definitely need to learn to pace myself properly though with my start group, cause had to TT a lot trying to catch up Guess it's just something that will come with more practice.
  17. You can put your googles in the sun, but not your goggles. The sun will damage the rubber. Usually just air dry them. Same with your swimcap.
  18. We could probably get a few Durbanville guys and gals together and drive in a convoy/carpool
  19. We're trying to get a hub get-together at the moonlight mass this Monday. So post here who would be joining! The more the merrier And for those interested, feel free to dress up for Halloween! Here are some more details on the event: http://www.moonlight...mass/About.html EDIT: We will meet at the circle on the McDonald's side at 9PM! 2nd EDIT: If you're looking for parking, there are going to be a few parking at the Virgin Active and then leaving from there to the circle. PM me if you need my number for incase you get lost.
  20. Yup, I recommended that he chat to one of the physio's that works there. Good practice! They fixed my shoulder when I damaged the rotator cuff!
  21. Oh no! That's really sad! RIP fellow cyclist.
  22. My first race of the season. Or should I say event because I haven't been on the bike much at all! Did the 65km, and it went really well overall. Tried to approach it as a training ride so didn't race right off the bat, and was keeping my heart rate REALLY low going out. Once I hit the stretch coming back, I thought bugger this and decided to up the pace, since I had a lot left in the tank and didn't want to suffer in the wind anymore than I had to. Started passing tons of people, and then my friend told me that I was pulling about 20+ guys along! And not one of them came out to the front to help! And then at the very end a few of them passed me with 500m to go, saying thanks for the lift Overall a very lekker race though. Was a good confidence booster knowing that with the non-existent training that I've been doing it, I actually did fairly well!
  23. If it's meter, then we would've all been swimming through a flood! Glad that the weather is clearing up though!
  24. I do that too, they usually don't register right away in the challenges until someone else(in a challenge) has logged a workout using the endomondo app. When I clicked on one of your workouts, in the bottom right it says, exlcuded from statistics. Look at editing it, to make it include in statistics. I'll see if I can upload one of my files later to see why it may have done that. EDIT: If you click "edit" on the workouts, there's an option to include in statistics. Just make sure that it's checked.
  25. The Challenges don't update automatically, it sometimes takes a few hours. Are you manually updating your workout?
