  4. but people will stall say - "it works for me" - duhhhh - people will believe anything. For once I like the Nanny State
  5. Although the ride was good I was VERY disappointed with the organisation. There was no water at the tables and when there was it was hot, also I never saw ANY medical assistance on the course and some of those so call single tracks down the hill could have been disaterous. It really felt like they just gave a guy a weed eater and said "make a path" I do not mind the technical but when you have to walk down a 2km hill cause the stuf is only (maybe) ridable by the top top guys I wasd disappointed. I must saythere is alot of hype about these Nissen events and being my first I was not inmpressed - what about the quad bike making dust and riding WITHOUT A HELMET! VERY DISAPPOINTED
  6. As a preventative measure, we have arranged an additional guard from RSS from this weekend onwards and will place him on the road leading to the fish eagle dam. We have also arranged an additional quad bike patrol in that area in the afternoons. We are also doing investigations with the security company. If we all stop riding there then these guys would have won. I think with any area you always need to be vigilant and unfortunately unless we fence the whole farm, which is impossible due to cost, we just need to be aware and not try to ride alone anywhere on or off the farm. Let's continue to support each other and support the farm so that we can continue to keep the development project running and make a difference in South Africa - your contribution to the LEAD SA initiative.

  8. Okay - so the NFRUG (Northern Farm Recreational User Group) has discussed this incident with RSS security and another Guard will be provided that will patrol the area between the dam and perimeter road. If anyone has more information or a contact of who the incendent happened to please PM me so we can discuss it. RSS is working closely with NFRUG and the SAPS regarding all bike jackings not just the NF area and all information we can gather will be most helpful. Please report any behaviour that is suspicious on NF to the numbers that can be found on http://www.northernfarm.co.za/ or http://www.northernfarm.co.za/docs/contact.pdf

  19. This hase been the host helpful and useful thread I have read for ages. The stuff is sound and what is being said I have not seen put so simply before. I have some backround as a Paramedic and also focus on low GI alot - this is very simple and true - once you spike with High GI - you need to keep doing it - so I never mix low GI and hi GI every - low GI all teh way.
