Ya I cant spend anymore money on it for a while, I'll upgrade the rear rotor to 180mm and that's about it. I managed to fit a 750ml in with the side entry. I though of just drilling the frame and adding another riv-nut myself, but perhaps not the best idea.

So those who remember, I had quite a sad black Friday 2019.. My bike was stolen in the early hours of the morning, never to be seen again. However, since it was stolen from my house "Santa"m came to the party and paid out an amount I could put a fairly descent bike together with If I shopped around on the hub etc. After most of my December riding time was spent on forums, ebay and online shops I decided to get a slightly "bigger" bike, but that would handle a 150mm fork better than my old 130mm bike. The seat angle of the latter became quite raked out, and a longer travel frame would help with that although I didn't really feel like I needed much more travel. Fork - RS Revelation on bikehub, and picked up a Charger 2 RCT3 damper on e-bay, (150mm debonair) Frame - ICAN P9 /Evolve Alpha (145mm currently) Shock RS Deluxe RT3 SRAM GX 12 group set ECC hubs on Rapide TR30 rims Shimano deore brakes + Pedals Lyne Components: -Pulse Carbon 35Di bars -Pulse 55mm Stem -170 Contour dropper Maxxis 29x2.5' Aggressor + 2.5' DHF exo+ I opted to build the bike myself. My plan is to spray the bike nicely and do Evolve decals but since we are moving house and need to do some renovations in the new house, this will have to wait though. I started by taking the frame apart and greasing every pivot/bearing which took one night and assembling it took another 2. Much longer than anticipated but in the end, apart from the BB, there were no issues. I've ridden it twice and Its safe to say, that I love it. Besides taking my own KOM on the mast DH on my first ride(a rocky hiking trail up to a radio mask in the mountains here) after not riding a bike for 3 months. Its just so composed, I'm going to have to upgrade the brakes sometime, but for now, the traction and composure is blowing my mind. The only problem is how unfit I became. To put it this way, there's no way I will finish an EWC Enduro right now! PS. Excuse the water bottle, I had to get a side entry and the pink one of my wife's bike was all that fitted for the first ride but that's now sorted.

I should enter this to force some saddle time as this is not something you do unprepared. Its the only way I am going to start prioritizing some kind of training. Is there a 30 or a 40km though? I've only ever done the 55/50km ?

All I know is, the French are a force not to be messed with... Between Loic looking like he's riding a trophy truck on rails and Amaury thats able to hold on to the craziest lines, the others are battling for 3rd.. Even in the ladies field, theres a hoast of strong contenders breathing up the necks of the Brits and Trace.. Is Rachelle not starting Lousa?

Seriously I'm tired of all the chit-chat, Pinkbike scraping the barrel for content...can the season just get going!! Or can I just get a bike Please...Serious withdrawals here, haven't ridden a mtb since Black Friday..

@Headshot, Id be very keen to get one of these done. Getting 2days off from the family is going to be tough, but doing shuttles on the Saturday then Racing on the Sunday one should be getting plenty of Gnar and high speed stuff. I've been off the bike for 3 months since its been stolen but should be up and riding within the next week, but even before that, I found I got slightly uncomfortable at speed and would back it off just a tad.

If I pull the lowers out, I get another 5mm, but why would Rockshox suddenly start including the negative spring in the suggested travel.. I have had all types of RS forks and its never been an issue, I know what you mean, but Its not the issue here.(Solo air/dual air/dual position air) The damper is supposed to be able to handle up to 160.. and is longer than the airshaft, so not that one either. Which to my initial question. Those with 2018+ Debonair Pike/Rev boost 27.5/29 forks, does the suggested travel match the exposed stanchion or is it slightly short, because I think someone is giving me the wrong answer. Unfortunately the only way I'm going to get my answer is if someone with the same fork can pull the lowers and check how long a 150mm airspring really is or take it to drew. Anyway, I hope Drew has a 150mm fork or airspring lying around so I can compare it, I'm planning on making a turn there Monday

This is what the airshaft in my fork looks like. its a 2019 Rev

mm.. This makes most sense.. that the shaft is a Yari 150. I opened the fork up, I'm well aware of the neg chamber sucking it in etc.. you just grab the fork by the lowers, put your foot under the crown and pull, as soon as the fork passed the dimple it will suck the blockage out. Hence my question. Since there is no indication, on the shaft itself, of what the travel is. it just says 080.. and thats it. Anyway. I might get a 160. hope it gives me 150mm. which my frame is built for. Otherwise the BB height & HA starts getting out of whack.

I've done all that. Nothing wrong internally, which Is why I ask.

To all the Hubbers with Rock Shox Pike/revelation forks 2018+... does your fork travel match the exposed stanchion area? Its a long story but I bought a fork thats suppose to be 150mm and it only shows 142mm exposed stanchion area. According to all sources I have called on this far its the right airspring but I cant imagine, RockShox would make a fork that uses a larger negative air chamber, which therefore sits 10mm into its travel(in essence its negative travel) and still call it a 150mm (10mm negative spring +140 positive)..anyway. So If a 150 pike measures 140mm, I need a 160mm debonairspring.

So after having had my bike stolen In November last year and ordering a frame and a rear shock online It seems the Rear shock is "stuck" Its been a month since the parcel left the Dude posting it. Any Ideas? Or do I just sit here and wait till kingdom come? May be... To be honest she needs to show consistency and more podiums, but the fact that there is some support from Santacruz is a good sign. If she visits the steps often this year, It will be a strong case!

The fact that there are at least 6 "names" in the womans race, former WC winners with some experience, will in itself be a win. And I really hope the time gaps of 1-5 on the podium is less than 5 seconds. Tahnee seems focused, and her new team committed to see her get on that top step. Cabirou also enjoying herself the 2nd half of the season and the confidence gained priceless. All I know is. I'm actually going to be watching the whole womans race!

That was kind of my point.. If I'm running my rear tyre 33PSI but the DH kings are running less than me, the Casings and inserts makes a bigger difference then what I'm giving it credit for? Perhaps worthwhile getting the DD casing on the rear (AGGRESSOR) since it doesn't seem to exist in EXO+ yet? No Question about it though, 28 PSI feels much nicer then 32PSI.. I'd probably run 28 if I had DH casings, but I am trying to keep my bike as light as possible.

I was "running" 33PSI at Jonkers last year and Im (70KG's) for all the rides before the Enduro Nationals, and never had a pinch, only suffered a small ding. In the beginning it feels a bit hard but one gets use to it. I'd probably prefer that over the 1000g's DD casing and inserts would weight. If I recall the DH guys were running 25PSI front and 32rear? Thats less than what I run, but I suspect its because they run DH casings and all of them use inserts these days.

Yes.. You dont want to go back.. You are quick to forget how your 2.5WT will roll off the rim in berms, or the rim will need trueing after every ride. 30mm ID rims dont look so wide on a 2.4 tyre anyway. Since I've been running 30mm ID rims I have hardly had to true a rim, but I dinged my rim so bad without even noticing that I could not get the tire off the rim! It literally pinched it and I had to pry the bead open to get it to release. Tyres and rims cost about the same these days. My new bike will just have RAPIDE TR30 rims, which are for argument sake, trail wheels, but there was very little difference to the Spanks I upgraded to. If I have to replace a R900 back rim once every 1.5 years. I can probably live with it.
