  1. So did I, very surprised. I also like the candy red!
  2. email i got so i would assume so: "Thanks for your email. Yes, you can get your frame resprayed at Morewood. The charge is R700 including decals plus shipping 2x R185 if we ship for you. Alternatively you can ship to us and arrange collection with the courier of your choice. Please note that all components need to be removed and the frame securely packed before shipping, your local bike shop can assist with this if necessary."

  5. Feedback: if I send it up to Morewood it will cost R700 for a respray and decal kit. Very reasonable...BUT i need to choose from their 2011 brochure or from the archive and hope the colour is still available.
  6. I highly doubt that!
  7. Saw some guys riding the upper DH track on Conters yesterday. Very impressive guys, amazing what you guys can do with a bike!
  8. How do you get that finish? Does the paint not create a protective barrier for the frame?
  9. Managed to get myself a Shova frame, but it needs a new colour and decals. What do you think is the best colour? I have narrowed down my choices to Candy Red or Metallic Blue, what do you guys think? Add pics for inspiration.
  10. I'd say, although you could club her like a....hrm forget that, fox hunting might be fun!
  11. Yup, and i appreciate all the help!
  12. I did not realize there was such a significant difference, are they not both trail bikes? Is it mainly because of the over the bar issue? - Yes and the fact that I’m not a XC racer, would like a more comfortable bike.
  13. More than likely, never said I was the best rider around, but my mates have ridden my bike and feel the same sense of being on top of the bike.
  14. 15% - 20% on shock, and i would say i have 15% before i bottom out the fork.
  15. Saddle set a 76.5cm Reach should be 55.5cm My measurements: Height: 177.5 Inseam: 87 Arm length: 57 Torso length: 58 Ill look at your suggestions.
  16. Front Reba set at 130psi RP 23 Shock set at 190psi for my weight with gear at around 90kg. Will measure the stem and degree.
  17. Have emailed Ngala24. Thanks.
  18. very funny! downhill as in.....
  19. I feel pretty comfy on the flats and it climbs jeep well. Struggle to lift and position the bike on technical single going up. Will look at the levers this evening. Thanks.
  20. We ride some technical stuff on table mountain, signal hill and tokai. I wouldn’t say it downhill riding.
  21. I want to get a 5inch tavel bike and was wondering what you guys think are the best options? I would look for a used medium frame to build up over time. I want something that’s lightish, climbs well and descends well. My ideas so far are: Ibis Mojo – bit pricey for me and can’t find a frame Santa Cruz Blur LT – also pricey but looking Morewood Shova – nice but too heavy at 3.5kg for frame and shock
  22. Have riser bars on to accommodate the higher post, but still not working. I wonder if the frame is the wrong size, although the setup guy said I’m a medium.
  23. I have a Morewood Zula size medium and I’m finding on technical single track being thrown forward on the bike constantly (over the bars), even though I’m centering myself on the pedals, pushing behind the saddle, arms and hands loose. I’m 178cm and have longer legs so my saddle is fairly high. I got on a mates Morewood Zula large and a Shova Medium and with their bikes I’m sitting in the bike, where on mine I feel like I’m perched on top of it. Have gone for a bike setup and I still don’t feel comfortable. I did change the saddle recently and I will play around with pushing it a bit back, but what else can I look at. I have thought about getting a KS seat dropper, but not to sure if this is the right thing to do?
