  1. Not even a single one more than you. Well done Mudsimus
  2. I see a few Hubbers also ran the RAC wilds route this morning instead of the Pirates reverse route.
  3. I have had many coffee machines in the past until I got this Jura Impressa S9 family hand me down. The Jura is built like a tank just soldiers on.
  4. Places me at exactly 9:00 Talk about goal escalation .....
  5. I think last year it was within days. But for next year they are expanding to 40k entrants. No thanks
  6. https://iptv2u.com/?fbclid=IwAR3lm_crvT1TckIFRLS3iLenruLxAk4qJKKJl0vTFsHWY4XhxtuFMD6PXVM
  7. I did my last long training run yesterday for Comrades I managed to do the RAC 60 in a time of 5h42 a whole hour quicker than last year. The first 50km was pretty easy and went by in no time, the last 10 km fatigue set in and I had to work hard to stay within the 5:50min/km pace I planned for the day. Its pretty sad as my own race predictor indicates a Comrades time of 9h30min based in yesterdays run
  8. Not this year the SABC didn't have money to broadcast they race this year. And ASA was to useless to try and give the rights to someone who could **** show all round
  9. Really sad that this is what South Africa has become
  10. I feel unwelcome in this thread...
  11. Can't wait to watch the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon on SABC this weekend.......
  12. Small world . I know Vicky from the JP group. She has made an amazing come back after her injury Melissa Jansen van Vuuren is also on top form. Its unbelievable how well she and her twin sister has progressed. I actually met her ( or her sister ) during a race last year where I was able to run with her now.......,,,[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
  13. 956km YTD lost two weeks due to a bit of a cold. But absolutely injury free so that's a massive bonus for a big boned runner. My only concern is that I wount be able to run over Easter weekend due to family commitments. So I'll probably be at 1600km comes start of Comrades
  14. What ! Damn some pretty serious runners in our midst
  15. I only saw Stu time on Strava ? How did you do Edgar ?
  16. So every year due to the single road entrance traffic is always a mess. Which as you know caused a delayed start. I knew this from last year so went very early and slept in my car. Other than that it's a really well organised race. Water points were brilliant, marshalling top notch and a nice vibe I like the fact that you get to see the Elites running at the midway turn around point. Just puts things in perspective, they are super humans. Definitely one of the better organized races Gauteng. But the guys running 5 hours or longer where the groups are much bigger might have a different experience. I really can't fault the race organizers on anything. (A second entrance to the venue would be great but I know there is only one entrance at the bottom) Or warn people to come early
  17. Woho a Buffalo managed a spot in the C pen today. Absolutely perfect day at Irene today (if you went early )
  18. And how cool is Smacpix Free race pics !!! Really going to upset that other crowd Unbelievable that they do it for free and the other crowd charges a fortune
  19. This was posted on one of the running groups thought it was pretty funny.
  20. No . Last year I saw guys sitting next to the road at 42km in the race they run with everything they had to get a good 42km time only the get there with no timing mat in sight
  21. I'm in for Irene Weather is looking good for the day. On the Coach Perry talk this week he advised against running for a better Comrades seeding now but I'm so tempted to give a C seeding a go. Plus it's my first race as a forty year old :-)
