  1. After spending my life savings at the Solomon store and running every ridge and mountain in Johannesburg I'm finally ready. Tomorrow 4am the journey begins.
  2. Anyone here doing Skyrun next month?
  3. Expected in our case the ones at the bottom are the one who created the holes in a good boat and made law that excludes the other two from helping them
  4. Nitecore lights are really good. The NU32 is perfect for running. And the service from Nitecore South Africa is just on another level.
  5. Tell a non cyclist that a top of the range MTB cost R150k and he will also think you joking. So R20k for the top of the range sports watch is probably OK for some. Not for me, R20k for any watch is nutters in my world. The sad part it they will sell at that price
  6. I had to sacrifice a pair of running socks in the past :-(
  7. I did the 45km with a friend. Was so nice running and not chacing a time. Just doing the distance in a comfortable fashion. Had serious FOMO as 7 of mates went the full distance.
  8. Kudos to you for evening still believing in the brand concidering how they have been dealing with their salesman in these trying times. But that is probably down to the individual dealership. I remember you were also very passionate about Hyundai when you still sold their cars. Good luck. Can't be easy trying to sell Volvos now. My neighbour is a DP at a Hyundai dealership. Even now he is building and renovating so it can't be to bad for everyone out there.
  9. First time I have heard of a business that operates like that.
  10. Yea I have Methabo 18 LTX BL cordless. With a 5 Ah battery this thing is fooken strong. If you drill 10mm metal with a 10mm bit and it grabs it wil pull your arm off your body. But 90% of the time I grab my Dewalt with 1.5 Ah battery because the Methabo tires your hand arm due to its weight and balance and most of the time you don't need all the torque the Methabo offers
  11. Yea if you want to criticise you should first post your own personal best time on a 5km. Pretty sure there would not be many critics left.
  12. NB 1080 is the Corolla of running shoes. They will do what they suppose to do.
  13. Last Week Friday - every man and his dog in the streets literally. This week Friday - along my 10km route maybe 3 runners 5 cyclist and an odd dog walker or two. Looked like we were back at level 5 Its insane how quickly I became unfit. Every run so far has been a battle.
  14. You do know she is a doctor
  15. We have a self appointment hoofseun in our suburb with cctv cameras pointing to the road. He phoned the cops on someone who was mowing the law on his sidewalk. A lady got arrested (stuffed in the back of a police bakkie) in her boomed of road because someone in the road phoned the cops because she was outside her property. So yea you do get assholes like that
  16. Yea Im also missing what you trying to say.I run with my buff around my neck for incase I get withing 3m of someone else. This never happened during my run so my buff never cover my face.
  17. Yea I got my 310XT from them a hundred years ago.
  18. Well done on completing 2 oceans yesterday. Amazing effort!!
  19. I agree they are messing up a good thread.
  20. Eye of a tiger. On repeat, For two hours.
  21. Yea so I swore I wount be one of those idiots running in gardens. This morning I' did about 200 laps around the house
  22. Yea I honestly don't care who knows where I stay. Rough neighbourhood they should be affraid [emoji23]
  23. I'm not the nearly in the same league as you guys but I couldn't work on our dining room table anymore in the lockdown due to family noise levels. I have study room but no table. I had a few lengths of square tubing and borrowed a few planks from the garage roof. The planks were extremely warped. I made jig for my router to flatten the new top. 90% done and the router bit came lose. I left it all for two days feeling sorry for myself. Flipped the top over and starter again Frame also came out perfect. No a single weld visible even with only the thinnest layer of paint.
