Copied and pasted from Facebook: Its on! Once again come join us for a super fun day of braaing, having a laugh and shuttling! All the trails are open to ride on the day including the xc trails, the main DH track, the switchback track -which has been completely opened up! and the Freeride track which has been recently revamped! We invite all gravity addicts - XC,DH,Dirt jump and Trail Riders to pull in for lifts up the mountain and let gravity do its thing! Cost: R90 per rider We decided to spice up the event a bit by doing fun timed downhill runs on The Switchback Track!The track is relatively easy but challenging as it consists of about 45 flat corners with some jumps in between that all have alternate lines around it. Its all about cornering! So when you got your fix of riding come to the switchback track for Timed runs that start @ 1pm sharp and some prizes to be handed out afterwards! Hope to see you all there! Please note that there will be no marshalls or medics on the day of this event, riders ride at own risk. Date is the 14th of August. I'll hopefully be there with my Meta to ride the singletrack and switchback bits (as opposed to the DH or FR courses) - anyone else want to join me for an "all mountain" shuttle session?

i was wondering the same thing. i have a set of 2.3 Nevegals here, but figured 2.1 small block eights would be a better choice

My wife is about to start mountain biking - we're currently building her up a hardtail around a 2011 Silverback Phoenix frame. I need to slap on new tyres and I'm looking for something affordable and light, that'll roll fast over tame trails (jeep track, etc) but still have fair grip for some singletrack (which she'll only do a little bit of at first). My first thought was the Kenda small block eight, 2.1. Any other suggestions?

I don't really have the cash to do this, but I was wondering what the benefits / down sides to having a coil shock on my Commencal Meta 5.5 (140mm travel) would be? As I see it the coil shock would be heavier, but the issue I have with the air shock is that, being a 110kg+ rider, it has to run at a high pressure and requires regular checking. In terms of feel, what's the difference? I know it's a bit of a noob question but this is my first full-susser so I'm curious...

I'm running the 20mm rise BooBar and will be going for the 20mm rise Holzfeller - at the moment with the stem and number of spacers I have 20mm feels perfect! It's all down to personal choice!

Same colour (and similar graphics) to the META AM (and the 6, and the DH team). Here's the final artwork, should have it back sometime next week. No guarantees they'll nail all the decals, let's see how it turns out :clap:
