  1. Super afternoon ride... YES! it has no suspension... OMG! Wait til the drops are fitted to this...
  2. There you go... Just suits our riding conditions (and what I want to do on a bike). I never intended it as a CX bike. That said though, given the opportunity I'd take part in a CX Sunday or two. I also struggle to 'pigeon hole' bikes. Some not.
  3. This is built as a gravel grinder. I live in the KZN Midlands with numerous district back roads linked with wonderful country roads (tar). When I had my road bike I always wanted to take a turn onto a dirt patch and link two great roads etc... but wouldn't do it on my expensive, carbon Italian steed. So I sold it, built a steel gravel eater and am loving exploring my 'back yard'.
  4. Who said anything about Cyclocross?... Besides, riding bikes is meant to be fun. I'm having fun on my bike.
  5. Some dirtroading...
  6. Yeah, brutal describes it
  7. Pic from a few pages back...
  8. This time I went to the bike...
  9. Point. Blurb I read mentioned this. I didn't think of the chain and RD. More interested in the belt drive.
  10. Apologies if this is a repost but I haven't seen it... Remove the chain without breaking it or fit a belt without breaking the frame.
  11. Stick with what you're used to. I'd be more worried about whacking the extra length on rocks...
  12. I don't think it's intended to feature much at XC races. Interesting question if related to an Enduro race though?...
  13. Uh huh. Let's go for it. I'll include the Enve's.
  14. Not that lucky. Guy.
  15. Lucky guy .
  16. MCR - Magic Carpet Ride SIR - Steel is real EMD - Eat My Dust ROS - Ride Over Sh!t (Stuff). Etc etc
  17. SIR9 is the EBB version of this frame.
  18. Real crappy frame. I'll collect it from you this afternoon so you no longer have to look at it.
  19. Silverback believe they've combined the best of both worlds - much like Trek thought they had done years back... Old news this mix wheel thing... Although 27.5/29 could be a more appropriate mix than 26/29. Would like a ride. I'm impressed with the long(ish) travel and trail attitude HT. Nice one Silverback.
  20. Nice Dan. Good looking bike.
  21. I've never experienced that from them. Probably OEM parts as mentioned. Mention it to CRC and see what they say. They're usually good with after sales stuff - In my experience.
  22. ...which we will see...
  23. Hilton trails... magic!
  24. Eish. That chain...
