It's a carbon frame though. Slightly more travel than the 110. The Maxx would run a 140mm fork of your choice, just like the std Stage doesn't have to run a RS1. But yes, their line up is getting bigger and the risk of cross over is a reality. My take on it: Stage - 29r Carbon marathon racer. Slacker geo than say, the Epic. Stage Maxx/ Trail - 29r Carbon trail/ everyday bike. Again, slack and low geo. 110 - 29r Alu option. 120 fork gives you a marathon/ everyday kinda bike. 140 puts it more trail based. Then you have the 650B models where the 120 is similar to the 110, the Pascoe your trail/ Enduro frame etc etc. They are firmly attacking the Spez Epic love affair SA riders have offering a more sensible option (geo wise) for most of these potential customers in the Stage. The Stage Maxx would be for those wanting a less race tuned bike - a carbon version of the 110 perhaps. As I said. My take. Pretty sure Mr PYGA has a firm grip on what not to do given previous experiences.
