  1. Yeah it's the standard 3x setup. Your middle chain ring should be a 32 - what most guys run on a 1x setup these days. That or a 34.
  2. Boom! Nice . Congrats. One of my favourite bikes...
  3. 11-34 will be fine with a 3x crank. If you move to 2x, I'd suggest a 11-36.
  4. I would like to get a price on the MRP forks... But, yeah, some more pics would be great...
  5. Here in SA (not sure about elsewhere) its the standard cassette for a triple crank. As I said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on sale as a full group...
  6. Yeah - I run anything from 1x1, 1x10 to 2x10 on different bikes. Kinda my point though - up to personal preferences. 3x gives him a very wide gear ratio option. I assume thats what he's after. That, or he got the 3x10 setup on a great deal .
  7. ...interested to know your reasoning for the necessity behind this as opposed to the owners current choice?
  8. Interested in those blue and green numbers on the shelf...

  13. On a side note - this little posers wheels cost more than my most expensive bike!!!
  14. Got my little girl the Y-Bike for her 2nd birthday. She didn't really do the 'black bike' thing and came off a four wheel plastic 'car' thingey, so I wasn't confident she'd take to a pure balance bike (JD, Muna etc) right away - I wanted something less stable than a black bike but more stable than a pure balance bike at this stage. Enter the Y-Bike. It's very stable in a straight line but unsteady on the corners (as the two back wheels are together). My little girl has taken to it like a duck to water and roars around the estate at break neck speeds, with me running after her trying to keep up and shouting instructions - much entertainment for the neighbours! Our next step will be the Muna as per CPT. The Y-Bike will probably be short lived in terms of use by our oldest child, but our youngest (now 4 months) will use this earlier than our oldest started on it, so we'll get good use from it in the end. My thinking was all in for R1300 - R1500 (R400+R900) we'll have a Y-Bike and a Muna and both kids will get use out of them. I was concerned about the plastic 'tyres'/ wheels but as you can see in the photos below they're holding up well, having seen a fair bit of milage on pavers... Excuse my sense of humour...
