  1. Hi, my partner and I won't be able to do baviaans this weekend. Anyone looking for a two-man entry, please send me a message.
  2. Not sure if this has been asked, but can anyone recommend someone for engraving on a blade (In Gauteng)?

  4. Valid concern, although it makes up a very small part of the product. The cream blend make up about 20% of the product and of that cream, around 33% is fat, and only some of that fat is made up by the hydrogenated fat. But still, I get your point and will re-evaluate the possibility of using 100% dairy cream (i.t.o cost and consistency). How about the other 3 products? Can we at least count on some sales from you on those?
  5. Thanks for the input guys! I would love to make a mousse with pastured (raw) cream and 80% dark chocolate only, but unfortunately it will just not be affordable for most . Hopefully the market grows enough so that we can eventually make and sell these products. We have, however, kept the "nasties" as low as possible (within reason in terms of practicality). Also keep in mind that those ingredients make up small portions of the end product. So if you were to have 1 serving per day, the "nasties" still end up being very small quantities compared to junk food (eg. fast food, processed ready meals, baked goods and so on...). I felt that sticking to stevia/xylitol instead of other sweeteners (even thought cost and taste was more difficult to get right) was one of the most important factors. The idea was to make desserts that taste delicious and can still be enjoyed by banters and also be affordable for most people (Roughly R21 for a 3-pack). Appreciate the quality feedback.
  6. I would really appreciate some feedback on a new dessert range we are planning to launch quite soon. Healthy living has been a passion of mine for a long time (contrary to the business I am in ), although, for a long time, it meant I ate frequent "balanced" meals, low fat, and too much protein, and basically zero sodium. Have now been a happy banter for about 2 years and I think now is as good time as any to bring out a low carb dessert range. Please give me your thoughts... As low carb enthusiasts, would you buy these desserts (assuming they taste good - they do )? They will come in 3-packs (120g X 3). The chocolate mousse is 3 X 55g. Thanks in advance. p.s apologies to the guys I offered Kefir to. Life happened - kefir went vrot. Drink probiotic caps everyday. Will get some kefir going again asap and share as promised.
  7. How about them homeboys with the beemers and black GTI's who live in complexes just a little east from there... I like the reward idea and will pitch in.
  8. I have a Sprada Future. You will get some change for your R10k. We're very happy with it.
  9. Impressive. KOM's?
  10. We were good to go, except we forgot to fill our bottles...
  11. Strava is ALLES.
  12. Who in PTA sells these "sealskins" thingamajigs?
  13. Can I take the accommodation only??
  14. Specialized RS13... How do you guys rate it?
  15. Yes, no problem. Send me a pm sometime next week and we'll check how my grains are doing. Raw milk - Irene dairy farm. They have license to sell raw milk which means their cows are tested for certain illnesses so the milk is safe. Their milk lasts quite a bit longer than any pasteurised milk in my fridge (just for interest sake).
  16. One of the by products when the kefir digests the sugar is alcohol. So of it tasted very sour (too sour) then you left it too long. The alcohol content will then also be higher. I also added a little stevia to mine.
  17. I bought mine at Sunflower Health Shop in Parys (the local Parys). Let me get mine going again and you can have some mahala.
  18. Usually if it separated properly it is a bit on the strong side for me. If I remember correctly I tried to get it to where the consistency was a bit thicker, basically like drinking yoghurt, but before it really separates. I also used to put a stick blender in it (after I've removed the plants) to blend it nice and smooth. Just a second or two. I'm still not sure if that actually damages the probiotics. I know they are quite fragile. Give it a stir or swirl every time you walk past the container. Mine usually took between 12 and 24 hours depending on ambient temperature.
  19. Htone, thanks for that... I'm sommer getting my kefir going tonight again! Have 5L raw milk in fridge.
  20. Jeepdude, how about a hemel & aarde ride on monday? How is the weather around there now?
  21. Thanks. Have been looking at ons of those for a while... Nespresso just works out way too expensive. We can use woolies organic beans in a sprada and pay off the machine in less than a year for the same price as using nespresso pods.
  22. Anyone have a Sprada Future?
  23. Me! Also attacked by one at Groenies. It also came for my chest and then went for my brother behind me. Kind of like a dog chasing a car... It can't really do anything with the car once it catches it.
